Official Post Game Thread-Pats beat the Cowboys!!!

The US has the greatest military in the world and their presence around the world supports American based multinational corporations that help American jobs and wages!

At least, that's what I learned by reading the Game Day Thread today.

OP sure has a gift for subtle satire.

I love the grown ass adults who seem to truly struggle with the difference between airing and discussing legitimate criticisms of this team vs having childish meltdowns but I mean, the Pats got the win in an ugly weather game so we should all feel pretty down.

I'm down $300 from that win and I'm feeling pretty happy so I just don't get the fans who only seem happy after a blowout or when the whistle blows and we're raising the Lombardi.

They had a guy. They let him go. Please don't be foolish enough to go down this road. You can't win the argument, it's been done about a billion times now, and I was giving an even-handed answer.

Deus is a very stable genius. Be respectful. You cannot win this argument and it has been verified that it has occurred over 1,000,000,000 times . He provides even-handed answers to all without regard to socio-economic background or physical attractiveness.

Thought Meyers, despite a few bad drops, had some nice catches as well.
Both drops were because he was hit by the defender. The second one was a potential hospital ball.

Myers had a good game.

I didn't say "sky is falling". I pointed out our rookie receivers made lots of mistakes. I am glad we grinded a win.

Yeah Belichick has a weird aphasia that keeps him from drafting WR's and 2nd round CB's, even though he can pick out HoF WR's from NFL game film and great CB's as free agents. Must be something really wrong with the guys brain....

They also traded another.

Maybe we should root for a bunch of injuries on defense so we can see what the young guys can really do!

Why would we want that? The defense is spectacular.

The WR corps has lower ceiling starters (Dorsett, Sanu) who are more seasoned and backups (Meyers, Harry) who are raw but capable of outperforming the starters in some situations. Harry’s touchdown and Meyers breakaway catch are two plays that don’t happen with Dorsett and Sanu. Yes, the offense was a complete net loss today rolling with those two, I won’t dispute that. But I am concerned this offense will remain incredibly limited without another playmaker like Edelman who defenses need to respect. Dorsett and Sanu are not that guy. It looks like Harry and Meyers are not there at this time either. The Patriots won, the rookies got some valuable playing time, we learned that they both have some big flaws. I have big doubts that either will be breakout in 2019. Normally this receiving corps would be fine with this talent level. The total incompetence at tight end requires a level above “fine” to succeed down the stretch.

I can't recall you ever giving an even handed answer; 100% of your posts drip with snark; it's all any of us will remember you for after you disappear with Brady. Almost makes me glad Brady is close to the end of his time here.

And yes, Gordon is no longer on the team, probably exactly because Harry now has more upside with similar skills.

I’m pretty sure @Deus Irae was being sarcastic.

You were foolish enough to want it for the offense... The ridiculous excuse making for why it's bad for the defensive side, when it was good for the offensive side, is just that.

Seeing Brady being forced to throw to Myers makes the trade for a 2nd pick for Sanu that much more painful.

I willed it. Be careful or I’ll injure Gilmore and Van Noy too.

Great win. BeliGOAT does it again. Gilmore is such a stud! The bad conditions certainly played a huge factor. Still hope the offense can have one or two games before the postseason where they look competent. Would be nice.

Either way, I'm feeling good going into the playoffs with this defense.

Edelman was playing hurt. People have talked about Harry and Meyers. Who else would you like to talk about when it comes to drops?

Edelman's been dropping passes all year, even before he was hurt. Happens even without rain or the pressure of one of your first NFL games.

Harry was actually known for having great hands but occasional concentration drops at ASU; the net was very positive. The really promising thing today was seeing him run good routes, which he wasn't known for.

I’m pretty sure @Deus Irae was being sarcastic.

One of his bizarre claims is that posters were openly wanting Sanu and Dorsett not to play today so that Harry and Meyers could get more playing time.

.

Tell Bedard that critisizing Meyers or Harry gets you declared "insane", "sociopath", "idiot", "garbage" and plenty of other ridicule. They should stay away from there forums if they have that opinion.

It's the death-wishful thinking for those rooks that is the piss you put in the pot. Most of the resident troll posters here have some negative narrative that colors everything they say. It's really tiresome.

No, let's get this cleared up. We know Edeman was injured. We could see him working his arm during the game, and it seemed to impact him on the throw over the middle. That doesn't excuse him not coming down with that pass, but it does offer a bit of insight into some of the "why" of the play. Also, even with that drop, he still had 8 catches on 10 targets. Beyond that, we've seen people talk about Harry (1 catch on 4 targets, and one big drop) and Jakobi (4 catches on 9 targets, multiple drops), and their drops.

Who else should we be calling out about drops? I'm trying to do what you asked:

BS cherry picking. Edelman was 5 for 10 last week -- without your injury excuse -- and Harry was 3 for 4. Sample sizes too small to mean crap.
