Why not hike it to a super fast guy like 32 and have him sprint towards the other end zone for five seconds and then go down to the ground.

I’m kind of kidding.
If he was really fast, they could have taken a safety

Odds on a wet field with the other team desperate for a block might be a little worse though. At that point, minimize ball handling

Those stats include bad weather games......

Adding Sanu and Dorsett back will be a blessing, but the truth is: this offense isn’t good enough to win a Super Bowl.

Short of re-signing Brown, I don’t know what else can be done for it.
If you can win a Super Bowl with 13 points, a defense can win a championship. If Harry develops a bit, Sanu builds a little more rapport with Brady, and Wynn stays healthy this offense can be respectable.

f*ck AB.......he will ruin this team
He’ll be a head ache for Bob and the PR team, you mean. By all accounts his teammates like him. Brady is obsessed with him. He wouldn’t poison the locker room or anything like that.

This is the best I’ve felt about the offense in a long tine. Without any more major injuries they should be OK enough.

I was surprised Watson didn’t get more targets today but I guess he was in pass pro.

Failure to conclude drives is an issue but there was only like 1 3 and out that I recall. Definitely an improvement.

I agree that overall it was progress. If the team can get healthy and get more reps for Meyers and Harry I think we'll have plenty enough to win with this defense.

Harry looks like he has A LOT of developing to do.

I’m sure they expected what they called to take 5 seconds.

How does this offense compare to the 2000 Ravens offense?
2000 Ravens were 14th in offense, by points scored as a team, and 16th by yards gained

2019 NE is 3rd in scoring, 18th in yards gained

these stats of course include defensive scores

Post all of your (happy) thoughts about the game here. Just post only happy thoughts.

Did I mention that this thread is for happy thoughts only? Well, just in case someone missed it, this thread is for happy thoughts only!

I don’t know if any of you knew this or not

but that looked like a game from 2003

not sure if that was covered or not. Every week. Dozens of times per thread.

Hey there I covered it this week. Just want to make sure I get my credit.

We need Patches O Houlihan to train our receivers.

Harry looks like he has A LOT of developing to do.
He's been out for half the season and this was his first "full strength" game. The learning curve as a rookie is high but you also can make up a lot of ground if the physical gifts are there.

If we can get the bye, which looks very likely, then we'll have that extra week to coach up the young players even more. Just keep grinding and this team has a great shot in the postseason.

If you have any unhappy thoughts you’re a chicken little!!

Gilmore completely shut down Amari Cooper. It was a brilliant job by him.

Stick with the rookies, eh? I’ll grant you Meyers is okay, though he dropped a big pass over the middle today. Harry had a great TD pass but otherwise didn’t seem to look like he knew what he was doing out there.

Maybe we could scrape by with Sanu and Dorsett back but AB is out there and this offense could turn quickly from anemic to near juggernaut. That’s how good AB is.

Remember that Celtics thread about Kyrie Irving the other day? You made some spot-on observations that are very relatable to the Patriots vis-vis AB.

He’s a Succubus.

I was thinking that too. Problem is the chance of a fumble. No chance of a turnover with Brady airmailing one.

Not sure why he didn’t just throw it harder and higher. That would have run the clock out for sure.
