I think it’s more than that. I think it’s the old Red Sox mentality that you have to be an eternal pessimist so you feel good when they fail. If you don’t harp all season on what could go wrong you feel duped when it does.
Of course it seems to take all the enjoyment away from the success.
I dunno. This fan base is conditioned to have big wins and big stats .

When neither one happens fans go bat **** crazy

I don’t know how much of it was Wynn but the OL had its moments where Brady had all day in the pocket which we really haven’t seen since Week 1.

Wynn held his own against Quinn who is no slouch- and that's after a couple months layoff. Massive boost to say the least.

I will agree Whites disappearance act is odd.
I think it’s a game plan thing. Sony seems to be staying on the field in more down and distances, not just heavy run % situations, white is out there in heavy pass % situations and burkhead is in between.
I think the game plan today was to establish the run.

Also our average 3rd down was over 10 yards to go, so that diminishes white as an option.

People are being idiots when they pile on you over this game. That being said, Meyers' numbers overall are solid for a WR5, though a bit misleading (and that can happen with any WRs, but particularly with rookie WRs) because he's had a couple of games where Brady's pretty much been forced to go to him, and we've seen that be a problem.

I think it's fair to say that Jakobi shows some promise, but is not deserving of a major role in the offense at this time. And I think it's fair to criticize the team for allowing its WR situation to become dire enough that Jakobi was one of only 3 "healthy" WRs for today's game.

I agree his numbers and his season is solid for an UDFA coming in and as depth WR. All that is great. The fact that he was WR1/2 for the game today is basically the issue. Our depth has collapsed and not all the reasons were bad luck. We chose to trade DT since we got AB. We chose to release AB prematurely. We chose to cut Gordon for tardiness. Meyers has done creditably and should continue to grow. Harry has missed too much time to be asked to be a significant contributor. They both did what they could. Still doesn't mean they weren't sloppy in the role they were thrust into.

Our rookie WRs came through with some big plays today.

People who can't see that have agendas.

Ok, Bedard is starting to agree with me on far too many points for my comfort. I may need to do some reassessing.

White was flat out covered. We didn't have enough receivers to create mismatches. Dallas completely (and correctly) ignored our TE's.

The rookie WRs were also problems today.

People who can't acknowledge that have agendas.

That sword cuts both ways.

Never understood why the first reaction to a win isn’t joy over the win, but instead is trying to find negative things to whine about.
It’s like people’s interest isn’t in the team winning but in finding something to be upset about so they can feel doomed.
I know right, what is it with Brady?

Maybe I learnt from BB. His first reaction would also be to fix mistakes.
But you aren’t the coach. You can’t fix problems. You complaining about them literally accomplishes absolutely nothing.
Bb focuses on what’s wrong because he can fix it. im sure after going to bruins game that they win bb doesn’t spend the next 5 hours complaining about what they didn’t do well because it has to be fixed. Because he can’t fix it.

No. We chose to release AB because he/along with his agent withheld information from the organization and immediately became a distraction. Then, after being released, he continued to display the behavior that proved all of his critics correct in their accusation that he is an absolute ****ing head case and a **** human being.

What’s wrong with being a new fan?

I had more important stuff to worry about when I was 15 than obsessing about every Pats game
What does last year have to do with this?
