I played receiver in college and absolutely know that to be true for me. I'd say 8 years of playing WR in HS/college in new england is a sufficient sample size to form an opinion on it. And I plenty of people I played with thought/did the same thing. As long as you can square up to the ball so it stays pinned against your body (rather than being sideways and having it slip through), it's easier than trying to catch a slick ball with your wet hands and not have it slide off.Got any evidence for that claim?
There's absolutely a culture of troop worship in this country, there are flyovers and "salutes to service" and other dumb ******** in this very football game, including guys wearing camo gear. There's a sense that simply being a troop makes you unimpeachable, the president is pandering to people by pardoning war criminals who were turned in by their own damn units for ****'s sake. It's absolutely stupid as hell that they ask veterans to stand at sporting events to be applauded and stuff like that. And that veterans get preference in seating on planes. All that crap. None of it exists outside this country, and it shouldn't exist here.
You are however correct that that very little of it is asked for by the troops. The only vets who really give a **** and aren't hugely embarrassed by the whole thing are pogue dipshits who peeled potatoes and got "asked to leave" the military because they got a DUI and have no other identity, them and the boot 18 year olds (or fresh lieutenants) who are too young and stupid to know better, in part because military training encourages you to be young and stupid. Also guys who served in the 80s.
Yea but I'm still wearing Mosslost'sHave you received your 'Goodbye AJ' memorial armband in the mail yet?
It feels like every ****in game imo. I honestly can NOT understand how they can let announcers talk abt a play but fail to show it time after time again. How are we not getting a single damn replay from FOX on failed third downs by the Patriots ?
