AB toying with us again

No AB = No Super Bowl.

This NE WR corps is not good enough. I sounded the alarm months ago trying to warn you all.
Defense wins championships.

Nobody knows what it’s going to take to win a championship or any game for that matter. My main concern is can the offense put up points on a night where the defense is struggling. Perfect example is the Baltimore game, the defense stunk and the offense for whatever reason wasn’t capable of keeping up.

AB would help ease that concern, but that’s not happening so gotta roll with what we’ve got.

People are putting way to much stock into how good this defense is. They faced a good offense vs the Ravens and lost.

Like it or not this team needs AB offensively, I don’t have the faith that this defense can hold up vs teams like Baltimore, Dallas, and Kansas City.

We will see vs Dallas on Sunday and I hope I am wrong, but beating teams like a depleted offensive Eagles doesn’t give me confidence.

They also played a Philly team without its top two wrs, Lead back, and their very good rt for most the game.

Antonio Brown isn't walking through that door
And Josh Gordon isn't walking through that door
And Demaryius Thomas....

Your example proves some defense on our part would have won that game.

The Eagles defense did not do well that game, yet they still won.

I accept Brown is not coming back, although I was excited the past couple of days due to the rumors. Last year, our receivers and passing game weren't that good, but we had a running game to rely on. We don't this year and while Wynn should help, he alone isn't going to create a competent running game. At this point, there's no way to improve that area. There is, however, a way to dramatically improve our passing game. Brown is that good. Brady wants him back and I suspect Belichick does as well. It's just Kraft's pride and his own sex crime getting in the way. Oh well.

Yeah. They lost because the defense ran into a bad opponent, couldn’t stop them, and our offense couldn’t keep up. Teams, when they get into the playoffs, find themselves in both situations - having to lean on defense in some games and having to lean on offense in others. We will too if we want to get back to the Super Bowl. Hopefully the guys we have in house are up to the task.

How are you seeing the offense getting fixed? Are you thinking that Harry becomes dominant as the season goes on and begins demanding double teams (meaning teams move out of Cover-1 and into Cover-2)? How about the running game? Obviously Wynn will help, but we’re still missing the fullback which was key for us last year in establishing a power running game. Are you thinking Roberts will get better and fix the position enough to give Sony more room?

I see the Left Tackle as a very big deal. Also, getting Harry involved and acclimated will help, as will a FINALLY healthy LaCosse.

If the OL can now start run blocking, that will open up the offense a bit. THIS game will be without Dorsett and Sanu, so they will have to do the scotch tape thing here. It WILL be ugly in the short term, but if one is looking at mid -December-January-February, the pieces should fall into place well if they can have Wynn/Harry/Sanu/Dorsett all added in for the stretch run.

That, and BB having taken all his in-person notes in Baltimore November 3rd and he and Ernie drafting the master plan for the rematch in January (wherever it may be - - yes, they could lose HFA to the Ravens, it's not the end of the world).

Unfortunately, the Develin loss was huge. That is the biggest loss to the team of the season. No argument from me there. It was big.

believe me, I want to fix this offense too. I'd rather have two six-shooters than one. My point is with a strong defense the season's not over, we still have a shot to eke out games even though we are handicapped offensively. The question is are they strong enough? I think the next time they see Baltimore they will have fixed what they need to do. That game was still winnable if we didn't fumble and commit stupid penalties.

My AB-related attention has shifted to hoping to god BAL, KC, SEA, etc. don't sign him.

Much to Florio's point, if BAL or KC get him, they're immediately the SB favorite IMO

offense just needs to avoid turnovers....against the Ravens, the Pats were driving to take the lead when Edelman's fumble was returned for a TD.....that was after scoring the last 13 points of the first half.....it changed the game about as much as it could change a game.....like 2005 playoffs against the Broncos

The fact we had all 3 of those players and now we have nothing makes me sad.

IF I was Brady I would threaten to Retire after the Season if we don't get AB. Kraft is a hypocrite the man loves the fertile position coward.

Crap I meant fetal.

so once the word mincing is done, what's the point here? that he should not have been cut? because there was no chance in him winding up on the exempt list?

That’s exactly right

....because of HIS (AB) actions so HE caused it just like he would be at high risk of doing again.

AB did nothing wrong. Not really. He was frivolously and falsely sued by an opportunist. And then a SI hack reached out to another opportunist to dig up an old story to milk the lawsuit’s infamy. AB dismissed and ridiculed the second allegation privately and in the process accidentally copied the accuser. The punishment for that accidental text should not be his livelihood. It’s out of proportion and so was Kraft’s reaction and AB’s dismissal.

Jesus, all you chicken littles are afraid of Dallas now? Lock this thread, it sucks.

The fact that people are pining for a has-been like Thomas is pretty pathetic.
