AB toying with us again

Even though he’s insisted numerous times he wants to play, are we sure AB actually wants to play?

I think he is having too much fun being a social media warrior fighting fans daily on Twitter.

Antonio Brown is hoping for a decision “very soon”

“There’s a sense of optimism from Brown’s perspective that he will be cleared to return to the NFL before the 2019 regular season ends.”

Given Florio’s history, I’d say his source here is almost definitely Drew Rosenhaus, Brown’s agent.
Yeah, agreed. The dude is still telling the NFL to f*** off on the regular on his twitter. There's no way they let him back in this year.

I think their plan is to hope no one signs him, and let him play in 2020; we'll call this a "passive" suspension. Meaning, they don't formally suspend him, but they already issued a threat earlier in that year that if anyone does sign him, the NFL reserves the right to immediately place him on the exempt list (wish they will do, I believe).

If he does sign with someone, then I think they'll immediately place him on the exempt list, and keep him there for the remainder of the season.

I don't think there's any chance in plays in 2019. That's far from a dissenting opinion either -- a lot of people believe that.

Antonio Kaep Brown? Nah ... he wants to play.

The Scorpion and the Frog
One day, a scorpion looked around at the mountain where he lived and decided that he wanted a change. So he set out on a journey through the forests and hills. He climbed over rocks and under vines and kept going until he reached a river.

The river was wide and swift, and the scorpion stopped to reconsider the situation. He couldn't see any way across. So he ran upriver and then checked downriver, all the while thinking that he might have to turn back.

Suddenly, he saw a frog sitting in the rushes by the bank of the stream on the other side of the river. He decided to ask the frog for help getting across the stream.

"Hellooo Mr. Frog!" called the scorpion across the water, "Would you be so kind as to give me a ride on your back across the river?"

"Well now, Mr. Scorpion! How do I know that if I try to help you, you wont try to kill me?" asked the frog hesitantly.

"Because," the scorpion replied, "If I try to kill you, then I would die too, for you see I cannot swim!"

Now this seemed to make sense to the frog. But he asked. "What about when I get close to the bank? You could still try to kill me and get back to the shore!"

"This is true," agreed the scorpion, "But then I wouldn't be able to get to the other side of the river!"

"Alright then...how do I know you wont just wait till we get to the other side and THEN kill me?" said the frog.

"Ahh...," crooned the scorpion, "Because you see, once you've taken me to the other side of this river, I will be so grateful for your help, that it would hardly be fair to reward you with death, now would it?!"

So the frog agreed to take the scorpion across the river. He swam over to the bank and settled himself near the mud to pick up his passenger. The scorpion crawled onto the frog's back, his sharp claws prickling into the frog's soft hide, and the frog slid into the river. The muddy water swirled around them, but the frog stayed near the surface so the scorpion would not drown. He kicked strongly through the first half of the stream, his flippers paddling wildly against the current.

Halfway across the river, the frog suddenly felt a sharp sting in his back and, out of the corner of his eye, saw the scorpion remove his stinger from the frog's back. A deadening numbness began to creep into his limbs.

"You fool!" croaked the frog, "Now we shall both die! Why on earth did you do that?"

The scorpion shrugged, and did a little jig on the drownings frog's back.

"I could not help myself. It is my nature."

Then they both sank into the muddy waters of the swiftly flowing river.

Don't put scorpions on your team

I’m only on page 8 so far but has anyone seen if AB was spotted at an airport in Boston yet

If only he wasn’t crazy

If he wasn't bat **** crazy he'd still be playing on the Raiders under that monster contract, or for the Steelers

yeah not gonna happen

Yea, he's completely anti-authority and basically doesn't want rules to apply to him or have to be accountable to anyone but himself. He's not mentally capable of going an entire season without other issues popping up, and you know the media would be digging, poking and prodding every single player on the team trying to stir the pot.

I was completely against the idea of signing AB when the original rumors of the Pats getting him started for the above reasons and more, but the only reason I'd be ok with him coming back at this point is because the team has already sunk a lot of valuable cap room into him that they can't get back, and they're desperate.. The current lack of talent (pending how Harry turns out), could cost us a Superbowl... so if the NFL clears him in their investigation, I wouldn't be opposed to him coming back...

given the circumstances, at this point it's basically like "Ok Mr. Devil, where do I sign?"

But that Scorpion was on the practice squad, the All-Pro team.

I said it before... AB will be back

Man, we better try. Imagine AB going to the Chiefs, especially with the potential injury to Hill, or the Ravens?

If he were to return, it would be very..bizarre. When has any team released a guy during the season, for cause, and then brought him back during said season?
