AB toying with us again

It's happening, and this board is going to go nuts!

Don't know the ins and outs... but it seems he might... if the Pats paid him the vet minimum for two years, and didn't continue to attempt to withhold what they agreed to the first time around. Essentially $10mil for 1.3 years.

I thought that the original amount was in legal dispute. And obviously any signing with AB would also include a settlement of that dispute.

I hate to **** on everyone's parade, but if AB really was to come back, we would have to re-sign him, not just reinstate him. Dead money cannot be "undeaded."

So if he wants to come back for the vet's min... fine. But will he really do that?

This is a super confusing situation because I know his original contract is considered 'dead' via cap but isn't Kraft just refusing to pay the guaranteed money owed to him as well? Couldn't AB just sign a vet minimum if Kraft drops that and actually pays what he is owed from the original contract?

Yeah let's once again hitch our wagon to AB's brand of crazy, what's the worst that could happen?

Probably something along the lines of "Ladies and gentleman due to mental illness tonight the part of Charlie Brown will be played by the Patriots and Lucy will be played by AB..."

I'm not sure if thats better or worse than watching Gunner run one more route this season.

Yes, that would be what would have to happen. The Patriots would agree to drop their grievance trying to get the money back. I still find any scenario that results in AB resigning with the Patriots to be extremely unlikely.

A decision you won't be facing since Gunner is on the IR. Way to keep up btw ;)

Me waiting for news that Brown is coming back so I can tag @shmessy and break his balls...

Replace Gunner with whatever scrub they bring in to be the punt returner since Sanu should not be returning any punts.

imagine if AB comes back and the offense balls out...dude will get paid whatever he wants next year

Just using this as an excuse to post this video again.
