Man, the chicken littles need to get a grip...

That's not the proper translation, at all. And you've seen me posting here for long enough that you know that. If you have to lie to defend your O.P., your O.P. sucks.
No what you do is post the freaking obvious or some ridiculously absurd take and every response you receive you react in a condescending way and act as if your insights are above the average poster.

When someone actually challenges you, you scamper off and hide in your bedroom.

How many points do they needs to beat the Ravens in January? 27? Can the offense get that many? That is the concern.

Yeah, @oldrover what the heck is up with that? You've seen Deus posting here for long enough to know that the proper way to defend your position is to condescend and pontificate then insult. And if you are truly serious about it after you get de-panted in the ensuing discussion you put the offending party on ignore.

They gave up 37 you figure they won’t give that up much if there’s a rematch with both teams. I would say less than 24.

Last year the Pats offense put up
10 points in an ugly loss @ Detroit
10 points in an ugly loss @ Tennessee
10 points in an ugly loss @ Pittsburgh
20 points in an ugly loss @ Jacksonville

ugly stuff can happen on the road

This OL, this lack of TE & FB, this inexperienced WR corps, and those wind conditions @Philly make it pretty much unsurprising. But recoverable, like last year was recoverable.

last years offense was such a relative juggernaut, that the were only held to 10 points 3 time by monster teams like the lions, titans, and steelers

It was a lousy game overall, for both teams, and the struggles of the offense has been going on for some time. Instead of telling the "chicken littles" to get a grip, maybe the blind homers should accept the current reality of the level of play (particularly from the offense), and not just the W/L record. That can be done while still believing that things will get better.

That Eagles team is only 5-5, for crying out loud. It's not as if this was a battle between a pair of 8-1 heavyweights.

I looked up the definition of a fan:
"an enthusiastic devotee (as of a sport or a performing art) usually as a spectator" "root word-fanatic"

So how can you be a fan ("fanatic" ) without being a 'homer'? Now, I don't know how many are blind. I'm pretty sure I'm a "homer" because I'm a Patriots fanatic.

I don't think any of us fans have any control over the level of play, so I guess we have to accept it. I'm happy with the 9-1 record. And being a fan since 1970 I'm really happy with 19 consecutive winning seasons.

Chicken little has seriously got to be the dorkiest insult of all time

you’re lucky you can’t get a wedgie or locked in a dumpster on the internet

We will likely need 24 from the offense in the next three weeks, probably against both DAL and KC.

Yes, the "real" issue is whether the Offense will be able to score 24 if they need to in the playoffs or the SB.

I think come January there will be a game where the pats will have to put up 24 or more points. Maybe not it all depends but i feel considering how the offense is struggling they need to hang on to the top seed.

My gosh, half the people I know or read or listen to are talking about this team like they're DEAD.

And they're 9-1.

That was an awesome win. That's a GRINDER game... that's a TRENCHES game... yeah, our team lost some of those battles... maybe a lot... but they won the freakin' war. (Honestly, I felt like the Ravens game was turning for our team too, until the fumble/6.)

Just to recap the Eagles, and forgive me for being no statistical deep diver... but the important stuff is right there in front of us:

1. The defense gave up 10 points in the first quarter... AND SHUT THEM DOWN THE REST OF THE GAME.

ON THE ROAD.

2. The offense... came back from a 10-point deficit...

ON THE ROAD.

Now.... could they close it out? No. But there have been plenty of other times the Pats O hasn't closed out a game... with far higher performing offenses than this one is at the moment. Just... saying.

3. Special teams was pretty much perfect... all kicks made... and all but one punt were beauties.

I listened to the beginning of Squeaky and the Douche yesterday... hey, I'm a masochist... and Mazz started off by saying how excited HE was by the win. I'm thinking to myself... what world do I live in where I agree with Mazz about the Pats?!?!?!

A lot of people thought this team was DOA last year after Gordon was out, and the Steelers game. "Not enough talent"... "haven't lost 5 in like a decade"... well, THAT worked out pretty well.

C'mon... keep the faith in BB and TB12... and to the chicken littles... you BETTER run...

...before we find out how many of you fit on a skewer. :) (jk... a little)

they only needed 4 points to win the superbowl

Yet it needed 37 points to advance to the super bowl. It’s asinine to compared last year’s offense to this offense. I would love to know where they ranked on 3rd down efficiency compared to last year’s offense. Also red zone efficiency.

that info is equally useless........the only thing that matters is the next opponent

Against the #2 offense in the NFL. Disclaimer: The lesson here is NOT that everything is fine and history will always repeat the exact same way. Simply that panicking in week 11 about a 9-1 team because they have deficiencies is premature. Most people aren't really doing that though, it's only a handful that are going overboard with it. Most are simply discussing the areas of concern, IMO.

it's about the next matchup......whether its in baltimore or foxboro, I like the pats chances against the ravens.......

in other words, I am not worried..............at all

Defense did its job but let’s not sugarcoat how awful Goff was. A better QB will come out of the nfc this season.

yes....because it had nothing to do with how he was bloodied........neither rodgers nor brees would survive that many hits

Says it's 'asinine to compared last year’s offense to this offense' then says 'would love to know where they ranked on 3rd down efficiency compared to last year’s offense.'
Is it just me or is that kinda...

Nothing wrong with pointing out faults with the team. 9-1 is great. But some of us are looking at the big picture. Playoffs. Seeding. Facing elite teams. Having an elite defense is great. But we've seen nothing from the offense this season that shows they would be able to overcome a bad D showing. Granted it was one game (Baltimore). But it's fair for fans to be concerned.

Except it isn't necessarily an insult and certainly it isn't being used as one here.
