N'Keal Harry's Production

He didn't look like a 1st rounder but he's barely set a toe in the NFL pool so time will tell.
He doesn't look fast but it isn't all about 40 times with some players:

Combine results:
Anquan Boldin 4.73
N'Keal Harry 4.53

If he turns into a player like Boldin I'd be happy

So if he becomes a borderline HoF player you will be happy ? Expectations are sometimes really something..

Will you be happy if he's a 1st round possession type???

I am happy if he is a solid starter for 4-5 years. That is what (historically) the expectations should be for people picked at #32.

It is not like he is some kind of blue chip player that is a guaranteed success.

Deebo Samuel breaking tackles left and right for 8 catches for 135 yards....Drafted after Harry. I pray Harry flashes like that some time this year, can’t live through another WR bust

Our offense has zero playmakers and a 42 year old QB. Need to rely on our defense to win us games.

We had a playmaker but he liked Instagram more than football.

We’ll see how it plays out. The offense can improve. Not one player is playing as well as he can. That includes JE and TB. Everyone is underperforming.

Poll:
Favorite Sanu catch vs Eagles

1) 1 yd catch
2) 3 yd catch

2018 3rd round pick Dallas Cowboys Mike Gallup blew up yesterday.

13 targets - 9 receptions - 148 yards

3 rounds later, NE takes Braxton Berrios

Because when your running game is a feckin joke, the other guys won't be fooled by PA and will simply continue their attacks on the pocket.

Perhaps not, but it sure would help...a lot.

Take out Wentz's 3 runs, two of which were scrambles, and Philly's running game was actually just as bad, if not worse.

Dak made more than a few of those plays using his feet to evade the pass rush and find Gallup. He played really well yesterday, though it was against a bad D.

If "living through another WR bust" comes with another SB title, where do I sign ???

You need to raise your expectations for 1st round picks because you're talking a player like Malcolm Mitchell who was taken in the 4th. He was a solid player but injuries cut his career short. Harry should be more than that.

What does one have to do with the other? But since you mentioned them, the Fecals were missing Howard & Sproles (& Corey Clement)...besides Develin, there was nobody else missing on our side that Bill didn't want missing.

No it definitely would help us out in terms of balance for us overall.

Who is in charge of our WR Scouting for college players?

First of all you should stop using labels like "first round pick". If you draft at #32 you have essentially the first pick of the second round.

The only range where "first round pick" matters is among the blue chippers depending on the exact draft year somewhere in the top 8 or top 12. That is where you have the highest density of high potential players. After that it makes no difference -- except for the fifth year option -- if you are a first, second or beginning of third round player.

In terms of Harry. If he can be a solid contributor for his entire contract then his pick at #32 was totally worth it.

Harry was the first receiver in the entire draft chosen. So I think it's fair to expect something out of the kid. I personally don't expect game breaking stretch speed, but some elite box out 1:1 red zone skills or third down catches, like a poor man's Michael Irvin.

He’s probably not going to be any good. Hopefully he can use his size and grab some jump balls over smaller defensive backs but he’s likely a future Pats draft lolcow

keep drinking...
