Lets face it, Brady is declining. He’s 42 and he is starting to look like it. He can still play at an elite level but asking him to do it consistently is probably too much.

Blaming all the offensive woes on Newhouse is ridiculous. I expect more from people on this forum to be honest.

Brady was horribly inaccurate all game, even when the WR is two ft from him it’s at his ankles.

You are hyperbolizing.

He is saying exactly as it is with accurate explanations on what happened.

Newhouse is not having a worse season than any other lineman than Thuney so far. In terms of his limitations he is maybe even one of the few people on the line who is not underachieving. If he had the athleticism people for whatever weird reason expect him to have he would be a well paid starter on some team.

He just became the boards favorite whipping boy where even if Brady screws up a protection by misreading the defense presnap and someone comes through the A gap you will find some kind of absolute idiot who blames Newhouse for that.

Lost Gronk (a security blanket Brady has had for a decade).

Watson was out for how many weeks?

Has had how many weeks of practice with Sanu?

Has had how many weeks of practice with Harry?

Gordon gone.

Antonio Brown gone.

Call me a homer, but I will stand by my theory that Brady, the offense and the Patriots will only continue to improve in the upcoming weeks.

You’re a homer. Ask and you shall receive.

It’s not his fault the team didn’t address the LT spot in that offseason in case Wynn got injured again, which he did.

They did address it. He retired.

There isn't always a great backup plan available for every backup plan.

So people here actually say he gives up sacks on every play and a stationary door would be better?

I honestly can believe you think he is our 2nd best OL

Of course Tom is declining.

We can sit here all day and argue the degree of his decline.

The line's play, lack of a running game and erratic play from the TE and WR corps isn't helping.

The pearl clutching by Romo on that hit made me want to throw up
It seemed like the first time ever that Romo frustrated me. He was more Nantz than Nantz yesterday. Hope this isn't him jumping the shark already.

What did frustrate you ? To me he brought again his A game. He even kinda called out the Pats going with a trick play right before the Edelman TD.

Just curious.

That is not what I wrote you need to read more carefully.

To me the most unexpected thing is how Brady's accuracy on short passes to the flat or screens seems to have decreased.

I get that on some of the third down plays to White he intentionally put it to the outside to minimize the risk of an INT especially after seeing that the play was most probably dead. But there are many passes on first and second down -- hell the first play against the Ravens is a perfect example -- where he just misfires straight forward completions.

And that is not an arm strength or age thing. I hope it is because he just has not been comfortable in the pocket and it changes with Wynn.

Between BBs dig at Lane Johnson:

and then that dig at the INT reversal:

he seemed to be pretty aggressive towards Philly. Guess you can't always ignore all the noise.

I love it when BB dishes it right back.

It was BS call

Agree 100% .

Just gotta see what happens over the next month.

You think it’s Brady’s fault that Brady can’t get 3 seconds in the pocket?
At least you recognize how horrible Newhouse is, you just have to remove the lame excuse.
Ooh yea I totally remember saying that one

That is the week 8 stats ( total, i don't have weeks 9 and 11 stats). He just gave 4x more sacks when compared to any OL in one LESS game. When Hunt went down Mahomes % dropped 5%. One player makes all the difference esp when it is the OL that protects the blind side. They can't run there, he is bad at pass protection, sometimes he seems lost, i don't expect another Trent Brown but at least Waddle or Fleming.

Brady is playing behind a O-line that is not good. The offense is one dimensional and receivers are sub-par.

I personally wonder if part of the issue is that BB is now spending most of his time on the D-side and leaving the O to Josh. I wonder if what we are seeing - indirectly - is BB's impact on the offense.
