Welcome back Isaiah Wynn

LJ is playing great, let’s see how long he can sustain that before we anoint him the next great thing.

Agreed. Taking nothing away but history shows these 'next big thing' run first QBs flame out after a couple seasons. Due to either defense adapting or injury.

I have concerns about Wynn moving forward. Is he injury prone? Could he have played through the turf toe? The interview in the summer where Scar seemed frustrated with him was telling. Does this guy put in the proper training? Was it a mistake to not pay Trent Brown?

But it is what it is now. If Wynn can't play next week, bring a left tackle in off the street. Newhouse should never see the field again. At this point he's going to get Brady injured.

the thing is, while one man isn't a savior, going from the worst left tackle in the league in newhouse to a guy who was able to keep brady safe one v one vs the steelers front can make a big difference.

say he gives brady just 1 second extra. That is an extra second where brady doesn't have to worry about getting pummeled and can scan the field. without watching all 22 for all we know guys could be getting open but brady doesn't have the time. we know against the ravens when brady had time sanu/Edelman had great games.

but football is a game won and lost in the trenches.

He is not injury prone. Nothing in his past suggests that and he had just bad timing with his freak achilles injury.

Sure he could have played through turf toe if you wanted to have hobbled LT for the rest of th season.

Scar was never frustrated with Wynn this is misleading Felger-level fabrication.

For all we have heard he fits right into the team culture when it comes to putting in the work.

No it was not a mistake to let Brown go at that price especially after drafting the 2018 draft's best LT with your first round pick.

Newhouse was just so bad that honestly, anybody that stays in the line up should be better.

This patriots team reminds me a lot of how the 1986 team played. One dimension and scrappy. Winning games however they could.

Mason has been hobbled a bit early. He looked much more comfortable at times today. Admittedly, I wasn't able to pay attention as much as I would have liked.
He’s a tough SOB, one of those guys we find out after the fact what he was playing through.

In the short term, great if the bye did help him, he’ll hopefully get two more of them in the playoffs.

The answer to our prayers. Wynn.

Reminds me of waiting to see Harry.

Boy, what a game he had yesterday. Get the champagne ready.

He produced about the same as josh gordon did in his Seahawks debut everyone is gushing about....

Comparing production of a rookie wide receiver stepping in his first NFL game to a left tackle we saw be solid this year and who is going to replace the worst tackle in the league statistically is a poor comparison

You would make a great jet fan. Being negative 24/7 fits better with a train wreck of a franchise than it does within the greatest ever.

His contributions should be most immediately felt on the ground. Sony has not been what we hoped he’d be at this point, but a lot of his runs off the left side of the formation are getting met in the backfield as well. And it’s not just him. It’s White and Burkhead, too. He’ll help in the passing game to give Brady more time to survey downfield but our issues are deeper there. Nobody besides Edelman has proven they can consistently beat man coverage and the TE situation is among the worst in the NFL. Harry will basically need to have the best season a rookie wideout has ever had under Belichick since he’s been here. Otherwise, teams will just bracket Edelman and those tight windows will not disappear. This offense looks slow and there are no easy throws whatsoever for Brady to complete.

I think you meant Thank G_d.

No.
The poster was trying to use the Arabic for "God willing" and used "God is Great".

"God willing" in Arabic is Insha Allah.

The fact that abdul7 gave my post a thumbs up means that my fledgling knowledge of a few Arabic phrases was (surprisingly) correct in this instance.

Then the Pats are in deep trouble.

Poor truthful Triumph started a thread months ago highlighting the NEP WR woes and he was vilified. Nobody wanted to face the music. They couldn't handle the truth. Now, here we are today with a passing offense in shambles. Brady is just throwing the ball up there in double and sometimes triple coverage and praying for the best.

The only person who could fix this tomorrow is AB, but he aint coming back. Poor WR drafting has come home to roost and this time Brady is in no mood to pretend that everything is hunky dory.

Once he slows down even by a hair, hes going to ge killed running that much.
