Tom just finished his podium chat with the press. To say the feeling was morbid is an understatement.

His deep balls were horribly under thrown. And he got lucky with some dropped picks. Very poor game from Brady Today.

*sigh* Grant Williams started 12 games across 2 years for the Patriots. 8 in 2000 and 4 in 2001.

Grant Williams Stats | Pro-Football-Reference.com

I've been a Pats fan since 1982. Anyone claiming that Newhouse is the worst OT the Patriots have had hasn't actually been watching all that long. Sorry. The Patriots have had some doozies.

I've been watching the Patriots longer than you. Thank you for the Grant Williams stats. Point taken, I still think Newhouse is worse. Watch this:
Markus Golden and David Mayo meet at the QB to sack Tom Brady

My God a person is no longer allowed to feel the way they want to feel in this country anymore without the thought police ready to complain that the person doesn't feel the way they want them to feel.
No, it's that he can't find it in him to be happy. I like honesty. I don't like the star QB being unhappy because the team is winning with him and not because of him.

Kind of like the post police in this forum... can't disparage Tom, Josh, the "Boogeymen*", Bills drafting, etc.... instaban

Brady presser:

1:04.. wow... saying he is unhappy is an understatement

The wind was a factor.

Some of the posters here should email Tom Brady and tell him he’s a chicken little

Of course but the center has nothing to do with this specific play.

Brady didn't read the blitzer presnap, didn't set the protection right to pick him up and then reacted too slow to throw hot (or throw the ball away). Him being fooled is not something you see often but that one was not on the OL.
Yes he's become human

Brady is playing games where he knows he's got dead plays before the snaps are even made. That hasn't been true since 2013. And, prior to that, it hadn't been true since 2005.

I'd be surprised and disappointed if he wasn't holding back the desire to gut a couple of players right now.
Of all the posters here, you are one of the most ardent Brady supporters.

I agree that this season he’s being put in a tough spot - mostly because of a few trouble positions on O.

Having said all of that, QB in the NFL entails more than play on the field. In this particular presser, he was crankier than the situation warranted. They are leaving Philly with a win. And both STs and the D played well.

I'm concerned about their run game.

Wouldn’t have beaten KC either time or the Rams last season with a red zone offense like this. Think it’s fixable but they don’t have a lot of margin for error...

Yes I know. I expected him to be. That was not a good performance by the offense.
Agree the O was one big dry heave but he acted like his dog died.

The Patriots won.

Sorry for your loss.
Yes and if you looked at my posts, I said twas a good, solid win... doesn't mean we need a circlejerk about the teams first Rd pick contributing 3 catches and the quarterback playing like Chad Pennington

What a BS call on Brooks. He led with his SHOULDER and hit Ertz in the chest..

It seeemed to me that all the "non-calls" went Philly's way despite Romo and Nance's claims to the contrary..
We did have the Lacosse play. We caught a big break there.

I didn’t see Brady’s presser, back in the day he was a guy who was happy with a win, even while striving to obviously improve his game. I hope he hasn’t shifted to be miserable even with a win if the offense doesn’t score 30. There are plenty of teams with worse weapons, so I’m not sure what the issue would be.

Yeah I agree with you. I’d argue Philly has worse weapons right now. What happened to the “my favorite receiver is the open receiver”. Well, Harry was open several times today.

Brady doesn't trust the line. Those secondary reads are not coming into play. What James White can bring to the table is limited because of overall protection concerns. The offensive struggle is directly linked to lack of Andrews Brown and Gronk. I hope Wynn and coaching are enough to muster more clean pockets.

Brady’s better than that. He’s been in front of the cameras for ages in some very frustrating spots. It was overboard.

Of course he can do what he wants and say what he wants. Just like we get to say that it was a bad look.

Until the running game becomes a threat the passing game will suck.

1000%.

ANY one dimensional offense will struggle in the NFL and this Patriots team is one dimensional on offense. The loss of Andrews, T. Brown, Gronk, Allen and Devlin - five of 11 guys is way more than just Newhouse.

Add in being able to both run and pass out of an alignment with those five guys and it was the epitome of unpredictable and malleable able to audible out when presented by either heavy or dime alignments to make the defense pay.

Being able to run - even if out of shotgun, will be the key to a future of balance or the converse game management relying on defense to win games.

No question they have problems.

They need to fix it soon.

Let's hope Wynn helps the run game and the passing game gets more consistent
