Official Post Game Thread- Pats beat the Eagles

The game started with a ******** flag on JMac that gifted the Eagles 3 points. They allowed one ugly drive where Jones almost came away with a INT but apart from that once again showed that they are a championship level defense.

Let losers in bars lose their mind arguing about those silly historic comparisons. None of it matters if they can keep playing on this level.

To be a bit nitpicky, I feel like Collins has faded a bit in the last 3-4 games relative to his early season pace. He looked absolutely like a AP player in the first 2 months. I guess that is why he was available.

The offense looks pretty ugly especially in the red zone. They also only rarely can't get out of situations where they are behind because of a sack or a penalty. Those are pretty much drive killers.

The positive thing is that if Wynn can give Brady just half a second more in pass-pro and be more efficient in the run game a lot of it will change pretty swiftly. I think the offense that we saw today and the one we will see against the Texans and KC will look a lot different in terms of efficiency.

Harry had a nice game to get his feet wet in a difficult spot. The plan clearly was to ease him slowly into the game. He looked good in run blocking and ran a couple slants. But him and Meyers are clearly not there yet when it comes to be part of the no huddle. So when Dorsett left the game the no huddle went right with him.

If anything this game should remind everyone how much football is a game of inches. We got lucky on a couple plays (Brady throw in the endzone that was almost picked; LaCosse fumble that was called forward progress) and then the Eagles were not able to be as perfect as they were in the SB.

It is kinda karma that Agholor missed that pass on fourth down by such a small margin given how lucky Philly was in the SB where TDs were thrown and caught almost perfect to the inch.

Anyway we won the game, hopefully Dorsett and Sanu will be fine until next week and we are getting Wynn back. This week has been a success.

Had been waiting 2 years for this game, Philly fans are the worst and it feels so good to defeat them on their home field. It was an ugly win, Harry looked like he has potential but is still getting adjusted to the system and Marshall Newhouse should pack his bags as soon as Wynn gets back.

It's a real good win...10 points on the road vs a team that'll be playing games that matter in December...but Christ, how many screens and throw aways are we going to see on 3d +6? It was very clear that after the Pats got up 7 Bill/Josh we're going ultra conservative risk averse on offense...Brady is officially a problem, please someone tell me he wasn't a problem today...bc if you think Brady wasn't an issue, you were watching Lifetime Movies and not the Pats game today

Should they let Newhouse get on the team plane? A Turnstile even does not allow people to pass in one direction but this guy is a broken turnstile. Going in or out, no problem, come right on to break Brady please.

The one sack wasn't his fault. He had his man tied up and it was a late rusher. Brady needs to be aware of that..

Hated seeing Meyers running the wrong route Brady was not happy. Offense was Sloopy Today they looked real rusty.

Maybe best game of the year by D. Other than one drive they humiliated a good offense.

He is horrific. But getting Wynn back can't be the answer to all the offensive woes. Need more than him. Brady had a few open receivers and he missed terribly.

We need a riot to show up to Newhouse's locker and... nicely escort him out of not only the Stadium, but anywhere in New England.

With regards to Newhouse, while he certainly is not great, it's worth remembering that the coaching staff consider him a better option than moving Marcus Cannon from RT to LT.

I think the logic is you’d be weakening two positions. Newhouse eloquently described switching sides as “learning to wipe with the other hand” recently and it’s a very enlightening comparison.

He may not see the ball the rest of the way. lol

But that crowd! Booing just for going 3-and-out. What entitled twerps! Very happy to stuff it down their throats. Well fought, Pats! Well fought!

They could learn a thing or two about handling mild disappointment with tremendous grace from our GDT.

He's like a turnstile in that our running backs can't get past him.

Huh? Philly is very mediocre.

No. Philly is a good team who has had MORE injury issues than the Pats have had.. Theirs have just been on the defensive side of the ball..

I'm in talks with N. Korea on the other line. I'll let you know how negotiations go.

Does our season come down to Wynn?
No. It comes down to the D. But we need Wynn to help Brady get “just enough offense” to get this team to where it’s looking for.
