Rudolph started the fight, he tried taking Garrett's helmet off and Garrett escalated it by hitting him in the head. Rudolph should also be suspended a game

Is pulling a guy’s helmet off really suspension worthy? If that was the only thing that happened, that would been hella soft.

So the Browns destroyed their playoff hopes in a win over the Steelers. Browns going to Browns.

Well now they at least have an excuse. Freddie may be saved.

He instigated it and when Garrett took his helmet off, Rudolph ran up to him to square up and Garrett hit him. Doesnt excuse what Garrett did but Rudolph is not innocent here.

I’d say Freddie’s undisciplined culture might be responsible for this fiasco. The Browns were head hunting with cheap shots all night. It is no coincidence that this happened with these two teams coached by the two most undisciplined coaches in the NFL.

Seems like a stretch to call that suspension worthy but a fine was def in order. Had Garrett not smacked him, it’d have been fines for both and maybe no ejections.

What is it with so many of you and your inability to actually analyze what happened, when it's this obvious? Garrett's ******** on the tackle started things. Rudolph responded. Garrett then went beyond the bounds of acceptability.

All due respect you're caught up in the moment like others.

Forget abt what Myles did. Obviously inexcusable.

You can't take another players hat off. There is no other side.

Please tell me in context where such an action is allowed??

Mason was acting like a *****. Myles acted like a bigger ***** & took it to another level.

Let's be real, If someone ripped Brady's helmet off and hit him with it, Garrett would be banned for life from the NFL.

What Garrett did was not start a fight. He brought him down to the ground as part of a football play, something the players do on every play. If you're arguing it was late and excessive, then that's handled by a penalty.

What Rudolph did was grab at Garrett's helmet, yank at it excessively, and based on the video it's arguable he also kicked him in the groin. That's instigating.

Pouncey should also have an indefinite suspension. Multiple punches and a kick to the head while Garrett was on the ground.

The snipers on the roof would take him out mid swing :D

Why does your mind immediately go to his race? I know why, but let’s see if you can admit it. Either that or you’re sheltered and don’t realize that white people also grow up in the hood, among a bevy of other races. Why did your brain immediately go to the fact that Garrett is black? You also need to learn the definition of racism. There was zero indication of a belief that my race is better than his, which is a requirement. You, however, just met that requirement beautifully. Your mind went to race because you made the unconscious assumption that only black people are hood rats. Maybe you should go try to get laid and stop being so uptight.
Not saying you're racist, but how many white players did you play against in Belle Glade? C'mon man, lmao. :p

the helmet would turn into a white dove and fly away before it strikes his head

A love tap ?

What is this apologist ********. He punched him.

Similarly he should have been already suspended for how he demolished TS not once BUT TWICE in exactly the same manner after the play was over within a handful of snaps. The second one ended the QBs season. The repeated nature of it is what makes it look bad.

Yesterday was just the culmination of the behaviour of a player with some type of anger issues. He is tremendously talented and a great DE but this type of **** has no place on the field.

But in the end it is just the signature of a John Dorsey team and ultimately the reason why they will never win anything in this configuration.

They were both talking **** & Myles hit him w a hat on. Garrett walked away worse if you've ever punched a helmet.
Again that's a love tap if you've ever been in a scrap before, you're being a bit dramatic.

Wasn't any worse than this or countless other incidents we've seen.

Why do I get the vibe that Garretts actions are a true reflection of the Browns coaching staff. I have a hard time imagining he would have done that if he was with the patriots

What is the punishment for pulling a helmet off then? If he kicked Myles in the groin, he should sit a game.

I love how you randomly decide that the start of the problem is not the start of the problem. That's a great defense strategy.

Oh, wait. It's not and it pretty much never works.

The issue started with dirty play by Garrett. The response came as a result of the dirty play by Garrett, compounded by Garrett not letting up and Garrett continuing with his ********. The response was Rudolph trying to get the dirty player off of him, and getting his hands on that dirty player's helmet in the process. So trying to say that Rudolph was the instigator is asinine.

And nothing that happened would have been of any consequence if Garrett hadn't lost his mind and decided to use a helmet as a weapon.

It is not just the coaching staff but the entire culture there. Starting with a scumbag owner, Dorsey's disregard for red flags when it comes to players down to a lack of accountability for players by Kitchens.
