Those were kicks were not even full force and Garrett had a helmet on. If this was Brady i would fully support the oline defending their guy.
How would you define "full force"? You have a 300-lb. man kicking another man in the head with, what -- "one-quarter" force, so it's not a problem? Defending your guy is not kicking someone in the head. Give me a break. Pouncey will be suspended for that and deservedly so.

What Garrett did was lose his head and control in the middle of people going after each other. He lost control and will face the consequences. What Haynsworth did was a bully move. He didn't lose his cool. I think he waited for opportunities to do these things. Hes a piece of crap

Myles Garrett should be toast. If he’s allowed to play over another certain player, then there’s something very wrong with the NFL. Had the opposite side of the helmet hit Rudolph, he’d be dead.

Tatum intentionally driving an arm into Stingley’s neck and paralyzing him. In a preseason game, no less.
THIS. How many games did Tatum get??!! That's why this Garett outrage is ridiculous.

yeah this is mcsorley bad.......but just like donald brashear, rudolph was a punk, too......he had his hands inside garrett's facemask and tried to rip HIS helmet off.......garrett grossly, grossly over reacted and should get the rest of the season for it......but rudolph isn't innocent in all of this

Things like this should be jusged by the end result. Brandon Moore standing in front of Sanchez with his ass violently positioned destroyed what was left of a mediocre career. He should've been charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

I'm absolutely shocked that the most disgusting, vile, and offensive display I've ever seen isn't being discussed.

I can't believe Joe Buck was taking this so lightly and not immediately calling for armed guards to rush the field. How Randy Moss was not publicly executed for this heinous crime is beyond me.

I remember Chris Nyland butting Rick Middleton in the face with the end of his stick. Middleton had his teeth bashed in. He was out for several games after that. That was ugly. Blood everywhere.

None of these acts compare to the violence you've unleashed on proper sentence structure.

Judging Hayensworth's stomp...he didn't really stomp with any weight or extra force.

My vote is the helmet swing....Garrett was eyeing the top of Rudolph's head and knew exactly what he was doing. I am surprised that Randolph isn't in the hospital right now with a caved cranium...... much worse than Kermit Washington's hit on Rudy T...at least Kermit punched someone outside his peripheral vision.

Surely not as harshly the initial act, though, right? Since the retaliation would not have occurred if not for the initial act.

Our legal system distinguishes between premeditated crimes and crimes of passion.

I agree with you but retaliation can produce an injury worse than the initial act......the QB was safe but the instigator was still getting kicked in the head.......3 games was just for Pouncy

I'm ok with a fine or one-game suspension. There were obviously extenuating circumstances.

3 games was fine for someone kicking someone who was being held down by another player in the head.....not as unacceptable but still unacceptable

My big difference though is that Garrett’s action was in a heated moment after Rudolph was already coming after him.

Haynesworth felt pre medicated.

Different era, different rules. Glorified hits in the 70's ( somebody posted an intro to a 1970s game recently where every highlight would be a penalty today) are penalties today in the name of player safety as the knowledge of CTE has evolved.....

Overreaction Friday feat. Moral Majority March

Myles Garrett who is a pretty tender beast w no violence history loses his mind for a few secs that produce one of the ugliest and dangerous misconducts on the field after the whistle - and the whole country goes after him like in a witch hunt. Browns owners were also quick to coldly distance themselves from the player and his action.

Tyreek Hill f.e., deeply disturbed individual with continued history of violence and abuse, albeit off field, is reinstated without discipline and praised as the star/face of the game. Chiefs and NFL and most football fans are ok with that. And he is just one of many.

Owners f.e. are committing calculated crimes and misdemeanors on a daily basis away from public eye (mostly) and are praised as pillars of society - and even when one of the scandals does come out there is no shortage of moral support and understanding from media & football society.

Repulsive sheep mentality at display wo fail.

So today . I am Myles Garrett.

Hopefully he finds enough support to help him overcome this difficult moment and that this one ugly moment of insanity in the heat of the battle doesn't define his personal or professional future but helps him grow..

No one has brought up the Milbury shoe incident?

i think the mcsorely stick over the head was the worst......although if brashear hadn't been such a ***** and had just followed the code and dropped gloves, it never would have happened

didn't realize we were getting graded on sentence structure, either......i'll try more harder

The only way to make this thread better is to bring up race.
