Not like the position is loaded with talent. The offense has been held hostage to it since Gronk left. Anything we get from him will help.

That's the problem we ain't getting NOTHING! and the Guy is always Injured.

With all this doom and gloom talk about Eagles exploiting the run defense. Where is the homer talk about Pats exploiting that secondary? I mean Edelman & Sanu had a combined 20 catches against a far better secondary and now Sanu has had even more time to learn the system. Where is the talk about the Pats maybe potentially finding something with the no huddle? They'll have had 2 weeks since to adjust and tweak it to improve it
Can this Oline give Brady enough time on the road with a crazy stadium and a serious pass rush.? I think that is the question. Will Josh call quick plays that don't take forever to develop? Nobody doubts that the Pats receivers can exploit this secondary.

No doubt. This is a secondary that Brady can shred if the OL gives him enough time in the pocket.

People said the same thing about the Ravens, no?

and a serious pass rush

I wouldn't exactly call the Eagles pass rush this year serious. Their SB year they were, last 2 years, it's been solid but wouldn't say serious. Pats have seen better pass rushes this year than what the Eagles pass rush has been. And that's not me saying I don't think they could play well, of course they could but I just think with Edelman and Sanu and the quick passing game against that secondary their pass rush might not be that much of a factor

but let's not under play the fact that Brady has shredded Jim Schwartz defenses the last few times he's faced it

Last 3 times
- 77%, 340 yards and 4 TD , had 158.3 QB rating
-72%, 360 yards and 4 TD, had a 139.6 QB rating
-threw for 500 yards and 3 TD, had a 115 QB rating

I mean it's basically been Brady vs LeBeau type stuff.

Bill must think he offers enough to hold his spot. I hope he’s right. Would be our best receiving threat at TE and can keep safeties occupied for WRs and RBs.

Well first, Ravens have more talent in their secondary than the Eagles, I mean Peters or Humphrey would be the Eagles best CB by a football field. Hell Jimmy Smith or Brandon Carr would be the Eagles best CB.

Secondly, Brady kind of did, the problem was red zone and that bad Edelman fumble when Pats were driving that turned what could have been a 20-17 Pats lead into 24-13 Ravens . Then Pats turned around and scored to make it 24-20, then the Ravens scored, making 30-20, then Pats were driving again Watson had that drop on 2nd and 10 and on 3rd and 10 there that deep attempt that came down to Thomas and that was pretty much game. You wonder if Watson catches that ball if the game would have had a different outcome. Maybe the Pats end up scoring to make it 30-27 and it gives the defense a lift and they make a stop on the ensuing drive

:confused:Don't get how Matt LaCosse is still on this Team based on how many times he's been among the wounded. It's not like he has a star studded career the guy's a below average player: BB has moved on from much better players before.

Strong take from someone who will most likely use Jacob Hollister against Belichick.

Good points with problem being most every loss by a team that was not a blowout can be rationalized away in similar manner.
Pats will have to play Doofus free ball Sunday. If so, given corrective scheme analysis by the coaching staff, they should win.

Never liked the Kid another one who couldn't get on the Field around here but glad he doing well in Seattle.

Cleveland exposed our defenses inability to stop the run. Baltimore brought it home with a vengeance. Now Philly is going to line up and bully us - Baltimore part 2 here we come.

this could get ugly.

The issues Cleveland exploited were totally different than those Baltimore did. Just because both resulted in rushing yardage doesn't make them equivalent.

Just win, baby! I don't care how ugly it gets....I'd take a 2-0 win with negative yardage on offense....

When did Philly get a serious pass rush?

he was shredding them until the ravens had those 2 drives of 8 and 9.5 minutes. When the other team holds the ball that long not much the qb can do.

Looks like jeffrey didn’t practice yet again today *rubbing hands*

I'm not sure what the big deal is here?

So far this year, in YARDS Per Game, the Eagles are #20 on Offense and #8 on Defense whereas the Pats are #15 on Offense and #1 on Defense.

So far this year, in POINTS Per Game, the Eagles are #13 on Offense and #15 on Defense whereas the Pats are #2 on Offense and #1 on Defense.

The Eagles are 5-4; the Pats are 8-1.

The Eagles HC is Pederson; the Pats HC is Belichick.

I think we match up just fine against this team, especially where Nick Foles is not walking through their door anytime soon.

Brady will carve up their secondary with Sanu, Edelman, White, Burkhead, and Watson.

I'm expecting the Defense to "redeem themselves" in a big way after the Baltimore game.

Should be fun! Go Pats!
