I don't think this is a talent thing at all.
Fans can sometimes get too caught up in stats.
I still think Sanu is better for this offense than Gordon given our O-Line issues.
Comes down to Sanu being better able to alter his routes when Brady has less time to throw.

They could've had both...

It's more a question of whether Jakobi Meyers was worth playing over Gordon. Seems like they could have cut Gunner and consigned Jakobi to the press box if they really wanted both. It was a numbers game and Belichick obviously liked Meyers/Harry over Gordon moving forward.

Jakobi Meyers getting only one snap last game was very troubling to me it seems like he made strides and was playing well.

I don't think it's any great shame to say Wilson is either the best or second best (after Mahomes) QB in football right now and a 42 year old Brady is not the best QB in football.

Mahomes is over-rated. He’s the MVP, not the best QB in the League. I’d argue Brady, Brees, Wilson and Rodgers are better. He’s flavour of the month/year. Stafford, Luck, Newton, Ryan. Every 3 years you have a “once in a generation QB”. Let’s see how he does now that the tape is out. And then let’s see how his team does once he signs his $40m per year deal hampering the team.

I think BB just didn’t like Gordon missing or late for meetings. Near term it’s a headwind since Gordon was better than Myers and Gunner. Long term it’s about preserving the hard working and full accountability culture which he’s worked so hard to build and which is a big reason for its success. It didn’t matter about the talent. He wasn’t tolerating insubordination.

Going with a no-huddle offensive game plan means you use the most versatile and experienced players, who can line up in various ways. That hurt Jakobi as well as Sony, but I don't think it's an indictment of how well they can do their job as much as an indictment of how few different jobs they each are mentally prepped to do right now, from QB audibles

Sanu has been in this offense for a week a was running the no huddle.

Updated list of former NE players on the 2019 roster likely to receive a Patriots SB ring if NE wins this year:
Antonio Brown
Josh Gordon
Jordan Richards
Michael Bennett

Pats should’ve cut him loose after the stunt he pulled last year. He really let the team down. Joke is on him for not being apart of their Super Bowl run. He may have a ring but you know he feels he didn’t earn it.

What a bitter ass hole. Ungrateful.
I am not sure this is much of a shot, but I think one can read into this as Brady also talking about Gordon. He was on OMF and he was asked about why some guys don't cut it here and this was his response;
He says it comes down to two words: trust and ‘dependability.
What does that mean? It means not being a guy that’s OK with going 8-8.
“When I think of trust and dependability, I don’t think of that as being on a team where you’re 8-8,” Brady said. “I think trust and dependability on a level of a championship-level team.

“I think there’s a lot of players that -- it might be OK to go 8-8, they’ve been involved with teams that are 8-8 or less than that, 4-12, 2-14," Brady continued. "They can make some plays. But it’s one thing to make plays on a team that’s 2-14. It’s another to do it with consistency on a team that’s 14-2.”
This is a direct shot at Gordon imo. Brady lost trust in him.

I don't see it that way.

Gordon took a clear shot a Tom buy saying Wilson is better.

We know that Tom's quote was directed towards Josh?

I didn't take that as a shot, he was asked about the quality of QBs from earlier in his career compared to later, it's been trending upwards(brady/wilson is upwards). Thought it was more of a compliment but who knows...

Dude had something like 15 TD's and 1 INT with a year of tape out before the kneecap thing. He came back in two games and dominated a pretty good secondary in TEN. What are you talking about? He's been as dominant this season as he was all of last season. If the Chiefs had a better defense, which I'm ecstatic they don't, they'd easily be atop the AFC right along with the Patriots. I'm certainly not putting him in Canton, but all this nonsense trying to denigrate what he's doing needs to stop. He's putting up numbers that either have never been done or haven't been done in a really long while.

People need to stop acting like giving someone else credit, even if it's slightly ahead of Brady, is some kind of sacrilege. Mahomes is a very good young QB and he's good for the league. Russell Wilson is having an MVP-caliber season, behind a pretty terrible OL I may add, and I was seeing in another thread where posters were talking in circles trying to discredit it somehow. Brady is the GOAT. But newsflash, there are other great players in the professional league that is the NFL. Other guys work hard and get paid too. Everything will be okay.

And why does it bother you so much if I think Brady, Brees, Rodgers and Wilson are better than Mahomes. When I said over-rated, it was in context of calling him the best QB in the League. For me he is number 5. You’re acting like an over-sensitive Chiefs fan, the same vice you’re accusing the Patriots fans of regarding Brady.

I mean Wilson is having a better season so far. Is there actually someone who would disagree ?

Not that I am a fan of individual stats in general but Wilson is better in every single category.

He has a higher completion percentage, more yards, almost double the number of TDs, a higher TD rate, fewer INTs, a smaller INT percentage and the advantage in any normalized/adjusted Yardage rate (Y/Attempt, AdjY/Attempt, Y/Completion..).

I am not sure what exactly Gordon did say is wrong. Could he have said nothing ? I guess but then we hear how everything is so much better suddenly by pretty much everyone that gets traded.

Josh Gordon.....him making those key 3rd down catches really pissed me off. So now he f***ing shows up?

He was thrown the ball. The chances a WR makes a reception goes up many fold when the ball is thrown within 5 feet of him.

What a bitter ass hole. Ungrateful.

What about the Josh the person?

Have YOU ever been through addiction? Have YOU ever been through what Josh has? Where are your prayers? The Bleeding Hearts on this board want to know so I am asking on their behalf.
