OT: Astros caught cheating to win their title!

The Astros are excellent at figuring out signs. Some of that was due to cheating, no doubt. Strasburg was tipping pitches early in game 6 and changed things up once our pitching coach noticed.

Helps to be good at figuring out signs when you got a camera set up right at the opposing catcher and a group of people watching and relaying the signs to the coaches/players in real time.

It is 100% cheating, and it will be interesting to see what MLB does.

I guess if you really wanted to prove that they were doing it, you could go back to the video of the games, look for the sign and listen to hear the garbage can. Of course, all of this would be negated once a runner got to second base (because the catcher then gives multiple signs).

This was one of the craziest moments in TV history. Why the hell did THIS make him emotional ?

Because Mark Brunell is the very definition of Con Man.

Mark Brunell - Wikipedia

"......Bankruptcy filing[edit]
On June 25, 2010, Brunell filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, at least in part due to numerous failed real estate and other business investments.[30][31][32] It is also reported that Brunell and several of his co-investors (also former teammates) have defaulted on 'multiple' loans involving different properties around the country.

According to a Florida Times-Union report,[33] Brunell listed approximately $5.5 million in assets against almost $25 million in liabilities. The liabilities are mostly in the form of personal guarantees on commercial real estate loans involving several of his limited liability corporations. The operation of 11 Whataburger franchise locations in which Brunell is involved will not be affected by the bankruptcy......"

.

I believe that it did happen.

If you recall, the Pats were practicing outdoors (LSU?} and they spotted someone watching their practice from afar. It may have been spying on the Pats from a building if memory serves me. I totally buy into BB giving the Rams a giant FU and that 2 can play that game. Didnt the same thing happen with the 2007 Meadow lands Jets game and Mangini? I believe so. I know that Mangini stole a NEP laptop on his way to the Jets. To me, BB is the type to handle things in house and not run crying to the NFL. Old School guy.

Also, were talking about the Rams HC Mike Martz who never missed a chance to throw caution the wind. Remember how he coached on game day? Recklessly to say the least.
Wow ... Was the moon landing faked and 9/11 an inside job as well?

Please remember that it is impossible to catch a major league pitcher if you don't know what pitch is coming and its location. Imagine someone is standing 60' 6" from you and hurls a ball at you at 95 miles an hour. Nobody could react in time to catch it. So the catcher and pitcher must have signs or some sort of communication.

I bet Cora was the one banging the trash can. I wonder if MLB is going to investigate this? More likely it will get swept under the rug.

Mark's entire persecution of TB can be clearly seen as mass projection, Brunell attempting to conflate his own ineptitude and/or fraudulent behavior upon the GOAT.

* Gets angry at the Astros *
* Remembers that they've beaten the Yankees and lost to the Sox when it counted these past few years *
* Stops being angry at the Astros *

Everything that's come out so far looks extremely damning, but I'd think that if we've learned anything it's to let the investigation conclude before reaching any conclusion.

But yeah, the alleged offense itself is way worse than either Pats 'scandal', plus the fact that players within the organization have already come out and acknowledged it happened.

I just turned on CNN here....and there's NOTHING about the Astros....

During Deflategate...CNN was reporting on it...

Total F-ing BS....

I still tell people that Deflategate was the biggest steaming pile of BULL$heet in professional sports history....

Well, there's a thing called impeachment going on now...kinda takes precedence.

Weren't the Red Sox caught using apple watches? Did MLB find anything?

My opinion is that the championship should still count. I’m surprised that nobody has a problem with mike fiers ratting out his former team. What a rat. Such a petty thing to do.

He is a rat, but honestly, MLB can't let the Astros continue to cheat. The disparity between their home and away records since 2015 is pretty staggering...

So glad the Red Sox beat them last year.

That’s actual cheating not the made-up kind that the Patriots are accused of doing.

As Per MLB, Effective Immediately Due To Astros Cheating:

Robert Kraft One Million Dollar Fine.
Bill Belichick Five Hundred Dollar Fine
Tom Brady Four Game Suspension
SB 53 Trophy Forfeited.
Rob Gronkowski Fees Due For Denting Trophy (ASAP When Back With Pats This Season)

speaking of disparity

You can't blame the media for baseball not being on most folks' radar, especially this time of year.
