According to Field Yates OL Dan Skipper was waived by the Texans.

There was a discussion in another thread whether Newhouse was the worst OT ever. But Dan Skipper was. No question.

I feel like we are moving into hyperbole territory with how much people **** on Newhouse.

And yet you rarely hear anyone criticizing Scar over the overall performance of the OL.

Newhouse isn't that bad... It's not like Brady is getting the David Carr treatment... The problem is we've been spoiled with matt light.. Nate solder and the huge Trent Brown.. I suspect eventually Wynn will be a guard.

Yes, Newhouse is that bad. Yes, Brady is getting the David Carr treatment. The difference is that Brady's a veteran, and can adjust to take it into consideration, while Carr got shell shocked from day one and never got past it. Carr might have made it as a legitimate starting NFL QB if Bocelli had been able to play.

Newhouse is a backup, I don't know why folks expect him to be Jonathan Ogden...or even Matt Light

Three weeks already passed since they signed him? Slow down time!

When Wynn comes back we’ll really understand how bad Newhouse has been. I’m sure he’s a nice guy and good backup but man it’s been tough to watch.

I think he gets a pass because most people understand that it's one thing to play QB at an advanced age but at 71 it's unrealistic to expect Scar to suit up

I think it is what it is and most Patriot fans get it ...
If you suck while Scar is your coach and continue to suck then you are in the abyss of suckage.
I wonder if Scar ever thinks Bill ... really? WTF am I supposed to do with this sack of suck?

Funny how this was a Dan Skipper is cut thread and the talk carries forward to how bad Newhouse is.

Ryan Izzo is happy to get a break

Whatever happened to Billy 'YoYo' Yates?

As great as Wynn could be, he alone will not solve the O line problems.

Veldheer, Schwenke and Dielman retired, along with Gronk. Wynn and Andrews were medically disabled, along with Develin and Johnson, while trades for Cunningham, Eluemunor and Bodine brought zip. Then Mason suddenly became a turnstile. No help in the draft. As far as blocking goes, this is about a worst case scenario, no? But Scar has been working on it and they have improved (4 ypc last week). Wynn returns in a couple weeks and LaCosse as well. 8-1 so far. Blocking should get better.

Mason and thuney are clearly playing hurt. Cannon is not 100 percent. Karras has improved tremendously from game 1. He is actually serviceable now.

Newhouse remains a joke. A healthy Wynn is such an improvement at that key position.

Lacrosse would need to improve by 200 percent to become a JAG!

Sentence no. 1 - Winner!

Sentence no. 2. - Uh, that’s because it’s not just the OL.

Respectfully disagree... Ain't Newhouses fault there is no fullback or tightend other than Watson to help him.

We drafted 2 linemen and they are both on the IR

Newhouse was picked up off the street. Things are really bad.
We did go into the season unprepared without a real 3rd tackle.

Newhouse does not possess quick feet
