Antonio Brown

At this point, I am HOPING that Goodell will drag this out before putting AB on the exempt list.

If the NFL interviews Brown next week (week 11) and it goes very well (A BIG ASSUMPTION, but who knows...Brown could decide to play along and be coached up by his lawyer)....then the NFL finds that the accusation doesn't have enough substance and lets all teams know that AB is free to sign anywhere in say week 14 or 15...and some AFC contender like Baltimore or KC signs him.

I am hoping this doesn't happen...and don't think it will....

The guy’s gonna play again. It’s all bs in my opinion. He could have paid this woman to make it go away but he’s not giving her a cent. This does about the exempt list is ********. He’s never going on it. He would be on it right now if the nfl had found real damaging evidence from his accuser.

He has a point, although I’m not sure I’d say it’s a race thing in this instance given what we saw happen to Brady.

NFL has taken waaaay long than they’ve needed to to compete this investigation. Inexcusable.
While I would normally love to slam the NFL, Brown is an idiot and I have no sympathy for him.

He still has rights, the NFL does this **** all the time and should be slammed for it. Don’t let them set this precedent.

The precedent was set with Brady. "We do what we want, when we want, and we don't have to give a reason". They won in court the right to do as they please and they executed that right with Brady, Ezekiel Elliot, and now Brown. Until the players gear up for an extended holdout and make a push for Goodell to lose the right to be judge, jury, and executioner, in the new CBA they are screwed. Instead they will cave because most of them can't manage their money to go without that paycheck and they will jump at the legalized marijuana (which the NFL is already gearing up to give them) and maybe some other minor issue to placate them.

No, he wouldn't. Right now the NFL can't put AB on the exempt list (or suspend him in any other way) any more than they can put you on the exempt list. At the moment he's not an employee of the NFL.

That wasn’t aimed at the media. That was aimed at getting Goodell and the owners’ collective, (mostly) white buttholes to pucker up. If you’re black and you want people to bend to you, play the race card. You look like a ****in’ idiot, but it’s proven effective time and time again.
I know it wasn't aimed at the media. But as I said, Brown has had little to no media support in his "ordeal." The point is will anyone in the media change their previous "Antonio Brown is evil" mantra now that Brown inserted his race into the situation. Curious how some of the sports media race hustlers - Rob Parker, Max Kellerman, etc - respond to this.

There are some dumb athletes and then there is Antonio Brown.

And then there are the folks on this forum who line up time after time after time for their dixie cup of Antonio Nicole's koolaid. :p:p:p

Honestly, this thread is like a trip to the zoo! :D

Ehhhhhh. He has every right to be pissed off at them. Pulling the race card is not the way to go, though.

2020...I agree. I think the NFL will meet with AB...drag it out a bit...put him on the exempt list...and settle on a 6 game suspension (same as Big Ben and EE). Then some team will sign him next year. I also think the rape accusation is murky at best and that it should be settled out of court (if I were AB, I would pay up just to make it go away and have the accuser stop cooperating with the NFL). The only reason he is likely to be on the exempt list is because he's cheap, stiffs people, and sends incomprehensible threatening texts. The NFL at least has evidence of him trying to intimidate women.

2019? I doubt it...but possible.

Not sure. But congrats, Mr. Taylor. You and your lovely daughter are looking at a nice payday.

I think what has happened to Brown is unfair. I am disappointed in Kraft. He let the league play him. All that being said. Brown can't seem to keep quiet. That wasn't going to work here.
BB doesn't like the media. I can't stand them either. It would have been a circus all season.

Not cranky at all. I’d have been more harsh if that were the case. Just enjoying the pure irony of a guy making fun of other people for participating in this thread when he has at least 1/3 of the posts in it.

Can’t believe no one points out the obvious, which is that Brown is being blackballed by the league over accusations, and they are purposely dragging their feet to suspend him for a season. The difference between this and most situations is usually you have a team/owner putting pressure on the league to protect their player in their own interest. Early Bird Bob is the only owner who confuses his team’s interests with the NYJFL’s agenda. This guy has no excuse for being fooled yet again after the 2015 railroading. What a total fool...if AB sues the league for collusion, Kraft is probably the most culpable one in the league, signing him just to release him into an unofficial suspension and then refuse to pay him the agreed upon bonus.

Yo so heartbroken with AB screw '07 '19 would of taken the cake but honestly I wouldn't rule out seeing AB resigned by us in 2020 once the smoke clears well if the smoke clears Brady likes everything by him on instagram so you never know.

AB doesn’t pass the morality test from Kraft’s serious girlfriends, LuLu and Mingbi.
