Gordon released - Claimed By Seahawks.

good guess but if the tweet about the Eagles not claiming him is accurate he must have fallen far down the order.

Dont think it works like that. Player goes on waivers and then teams have the next day to put in a claim whoever has the highest waiver priority is awarded the player. It's not like a draft where you're on the clock and can pass and it goes to the next team.

Josina Anderson said Gordon has been claimed and the team is waiting to inform the player that will be cut.
Claimed on waivers or signed as a UFA after clearing waivers? Makes a difference to the NE salary cap!

It's definitely not like the draft.

Chiefs DID NOT claim Gordon per Matt Verderame

Hard to imagine that Gordon would clear waivers, become a free agent, and negotiate and sign a contract in 20 minutes.

BB said more about Bennett release than he said about Gordon, I also noticed Brady is not really that bothered not having Gordon. What this tells me is that they got tired of something he was either doing or not doing well.

I have a feeling its the Jets

Wasn't the Chargers either.

SO about 10 teams off the list so far...they will keep saying who didn't until there is one left

We should keep a running list of who DID NOT claim Gordon. We might figure it out quicker that way.

Apparently Gordon just followed Lamar Jackson on Instagram, for whatever that's worth.

I'm not following your logic. The Eagles not putting in a claim doesn't mean some team higher up on the list didn't either.
Yeah. The way it works is that all teams can submit waiver claims during the designated claiming period. There's no sequencing of submitting claims. A claim put in at the end of the claiming period has exactly the same priority as a claim put in at the start of the waiver period. You can't move ahead because you submitted a claim before another team.

If there are multiple claims, the player is awarded to whichever claiming team has the worst record (they use some sort of tiebreakers -- maybe the draft order tiebreakers -- to handle tied records).

As someone said further up, it's not like the draft where the worst team has to decide and then if they pass the NFL contacts the 2nd worst team and they have to decide, etc.

Not:
1. The Patriots
2. University of Michigan Wolverines
3. The Hart Foundation
4. Team Jacob

If I were Gordon I would have done the same thing just for the laughs.
