Predict the 2nd Half of the season

I expect 0 losses, so I'll play it safe and go w/ 1, but even that 1 is tough for me to see right now, especially as the ship is getting reinforcements

no team has every gone 15-1 and won the SB right? we might be the first, but i'm not 100% against undefeated

you know BB wants it

I’ll say 14-2 with losses at Philly and at Houston. Beat Jimmy G and Niners 13-3 in Super Bowl

Pretty sure the ‘85 Bears only had one loss, which was to Miami on MNF. I think they went 15-1 on the season, ultimately finishing 18-1 and winning the Super Bowl.

Another defensive SB ending in a 13-3 victory for the second year in a row? I wouldn’t have believed it, but I just saw the road team win all 7 World Series games.

Do not want to see them run the table after 2007, as creepy Mercury Morris will once again be some sort of "expert" on the airwaves... as a perfect season really does not matter all that much.

See them losing at least 2 games one will be unexpected... probably not Miami.

I’d be surprised if Jimmy G finishes through year.
His injury history is worse than Carson Wentz.

The pats had that game too, up by 3. Can't believe they pissed it away.

If we beat Bal : 16-0 is a Real possibility...

It’s been 12 years, can he even speak anymore? Let’s not forget the previously unknown Boston sports hack that decided to write a fictional tale of a previous Super Bowl victory on the eve of the game. Who will it be this time?

I’ve seen nothing happen on the field this season that would have me expecting the patriots would lose to anyone, anywhere
Sorry to hear that...are you what some people might now call "differently-visioned"?

We should've been 15-1 in 2004.

Nope I am someone who is realistic.

By the way, why are you sorry to hear about his well the patriots have been playing? o_O

I believe that the offense hasn't been playing as well as even their pedestrian-given-the-competition numbers indicate, and that the 8-0 start has masked a lot of its flaws, which will become exposed starting on Sunday night.

So you believe based upon how they have played so far that they are expected to lose Sunday? I disagree.

I can't see the Pats losing many games. If they do lose any they'll be on the road. The only exceptions could be the Chiefs if Mahomes is healthy or the Bills if they bring the same defense. I saw a post up thread that mentioned losing to the Dolphins because we had the #1 cede locked up. Even our backups could probably win that one.

Now for what I want to happen in the NFC. It's actually very possible that two of the Seahawks, Rams or Panthers could go 12-4 and miss out on the playoffs, while a 7-9 or 8-8 team from the NFC Least gets in. Please football gods make that happen.

I don't get the fear of Baltimore. Patriots are currently favored by 3-1/2 with 80% of the money going on the Patriots. Straight up, you have to wager $190 to win $100 on a Patriots victory.

Doesn't Belichick scheme to take away the primary threat of an opponent? Isn't it clear that the primary threat is the running game, more specifically Jackson's running ability? Can't most defenses stop an opponent's running game when they concentrate on that? The secondary threat is the receiving ability of the tight end.

Sure, it's not quite as simple as I make it sound in the previous paragraph, but it's not crazy difficult either.

Week after week, people keep predicting that offenses are going to score 20+ points against this Patriots' defense. (OK, I should have ignored JetsFan79's prediction.) It not only doesn't happen, hardly anyone has gotten close. Shouldn't we believe that the Patriots really will hold teams off the scoreboard? And shouldn't we believe that the highest scoring team (not just offense) in the league actually will score some points, perhaps even 20 points overall?

Anything can happen. But believing in the Ravens over this Patriots team defies what we've seen so far and what we know about Belichick, Brady and the rest of the team.

I expect that after this Sunday, the NFL will have another "aha" moment like they did after the Chargers beat the Ravens in the playoffs last year. They'll be saying, "Oh, that's how to shut down a running QB who doesn't have a lot of passing ability". Belichick will find a way; he almost always does. And not just a way to get by, but a way to dominate. That's who he is.

As I mentioned earlier to a visiting fan, I think there are things that make this Ratbird game more unpredictable. Those are injuries on the Pats offense, Brady not being at 100% and the extra time that the Ratbirds had to prepare for the Pats.
