Breaking: Mike Nugent exits, no longer has a good job

At this point in the season the proper question is: Is Bryant any worse?

Well, Bryant is being replaced with Koo. And Koo couldn't beat out Nugent. So there's that.

Younghue Hoo already picked up elsewhere.
Interesting.

Wham bam sweet Bryant!
Bryant is 44 years old.

If he comes here I think the NEP will be the 1st team in NFL history w 2 players over 40.

damn Bill made that move real quick.

Gost was a bit off, but still not a problem, in comparison to most other NFL kickers, as any look at those other kickers should have been enough to demonstrate to even the willfully blind. Spoiled children demanding perfection from kickers was a problem.

You don't know what you got til it's gone (not to be confused with: I want it all and I want it right now :)).

Building a locker room to welcome Julio Jones?

I am neither surprised or disappointed. Quality drops of precipitously when you get out of the top 20, but even then he did nothing to keep a grip on his roster spot.

Bolt wants to play receiver. Maybe Beckham wants to kick balls?

For some reason, I feel better about Bryant than Nugent... but I'm basing that on just about nothing.

And we are going up against Justin Tucker in his own stadium on Sunday night....

What's the weather forecast for Sunday night at MT&T Bank?

I'm gonna miss those down the middle PATs from da Nuge.

There was a reason that Nugent had been out of the league since 2016. I think it was just the best option at the time.

Genuinely asking, why aren't punters good kickers and vice versa? Something I've always wondered. And are there players in history who have been a hybrid of both at the professional level?

I think most of them CAN do both, but having one player do both jobs for your team makes you one injury away from being absolutely screwed in a game. Suddenly, you have to go for it on 4th down every time because you can neither punt nor go for 3.

Because it is freaking hard to be good at one of the two, let alone being great at both. People here seem to think anyone can do this stuff at a professional level. They can't, it is really hard, they get paid lots of money. They show a womens professional soccer player kicking a 50 yard field goal with a running start and no one trying to block it and say, boy it is easy.

IT isn't easy, it is really hard.
