I believe the offense needs to work on going hurry up/no huddle. Here is why:

  1. The Line is iffy and while Wynn's return will help it is still not the same as last year when you had Trent Brown, Gronk and Develin opening up holes for the running game. Hence why Michel is struggling to find room to run.
  2. We can throw in a plethora of packages with Harry, Dorsett, Edelman, Meyers and Sanu or
  3. Sanu, Edelman, Dorsett, White, Burkett.
  4. See 2 and 3 and mix and match as necessary.
  5. It allows Brady to get rid of the ball faster so the line doesn't have to block as long and protects him.
  6. The offense will tire out the other defenses and should score more pts and that may be necessary facing the likes of Philly, Dallas, Houston and KC.
  7. It is fun to watch!
Thoughts?

My understanding is that it’s difficult to run because the whole offense, the offensive line in particular, needs to be on the same page knowing exactly what to do. I’m not sure this team is at the point where they can run that consistently. I do love seeing them run it though.

Hopefully we can start winning a few games if we switch over to a no huddle.

no........this form of panic is insufficient

It would be nice to have it part of the Offense once everyone is on the same page.

I think it's hard to run the no huddle with new players getting used to the offense, and as somebody said above, with the line in flux. I'm sure it will come later in the season when the line is more stable and players like Sanu are integrated into the system.

Making our already crappy O-line run up to the line every play with less time in between snaps is not a good thing.

I'd like to see more no-huddle but not necessarily hurry up.

The flip side to that is the opposing D line might get a little winded and not be as bulldozing into our line.

Hard to do with so many moving pieces and new people, I think.

At first I thought the thread said, "No Cuddle Time", and I wondered:

I think a good OL is a big part of a good night huddle.
I don’t think our personnel are right for it either.
I’m not sure how it allows Brady to get rid of the ball faster.
I don’t think speeding up the game fits for the best defense in the league.

If their defense has on the field what our offense has determined is a favorable matchup, then by all means exploit it by not huddling, thereby not allowing their defense to switch personnel. I'm sure that situations such as these are practiced often enough that they should be ready if the opportunity presents itself Sunday...besides, the same 8 OLmen have been together for a few weeks now, so I don't see why they can't keep up the pace if necessary.

its not like it could be any worse

You are kidding right? It could always be worse. We are spoiled by having a great Oline almost every season/ Just because we have regressed to the mean does not mean it could not be worse.
