Irsay suddenly runs to the medicine cabinet upon reading this news
Silly Zuma, he was already AT the cabinet... he just reached for more.

So, does playing until 45 still stand?

“Yeah, I certainly hope so," Brady said on Westwood 1 with Jim Grey at halftime today.

2009...gawd

That year must have sucked the life out of him. No wonder he was thinking of bailing
“I just can’t get these players to play the way I want them to play.”

And the other 31 head coaches just fainted.... Here they were counting down the days til they finally had a shot.

Savage, Bill... Savage
Nah, Bill is laying down the groundwork for the other 31 teams to pay him not to coach again

Either that or do humiliating obeisance to him (I can dream)

One reason I believe BB might keep coaching a while yet: he wants to mentor his sons to high-profile coaching careers through hands-on practical experience.

Or Alex Guerrero is on the brink of perfecting instant human cloning bringing about a real life multiplicity...just can't call number 4 Steve. Maybe Freddie instead? And we can send him off to the Jets with a large pizza.

Wouldn't be surprised at this point if its Mayo or Steve as the succesor... can't see Josh hanging around for another 3-5 years waiting in the wings. Unless he truly wants his family to grow up in one place. I am not discounting the rarity it is for coaches and their families to be somewhere more than a year or two. So maybe that, but I would think the itch to give it another shot sooner tather than later will be to great for him to ignore.

Best coach of all time by far, but if he doesn’t start drafting better post Brady retirement, we could be in trouble.

You guys think he's gunning for Shula? Is it for real? :)

I'm totally on board with one son becominf HC and the other son being GM in 2024

Mayo is gone at the latest in 2021. Too perfect package of diversity hire, charisma, absolute competence combined with being involved in this defense and a BB student.

Wouldn't surprise me if someone offers him something this offseason. But I can see him delaying it by a year to learn more.

Steve is absolutely in play as a potential successor. Eventually.

Yeah, he'll coach into his 70s...with the Giants. That's what I heard two years ago, right? Hehe

Scummy sports "journalists" better be waking up thanking God every day for the New England Patriots. Think about how many stories have been generated over the years because of the Pats. The downside of this this team's success, of course, is that it brought on guys like Volin who would probably be out selling life insurance if not for the Pats.

the draft is a crapshot. Some years it will be better, some years it will be dire. Just the way it is. It's russian roulette.

I watched Stephen A Smith video on YouTube last night where he said BB is the greatest coach in sports history

A bunch of people comment that Sir Ferguson is the goat. I had to calm them down and remind them ESPN talks to an American audience only about American sports

yup, we’re self centered about our sports

I’m sure stat padder Brees read this and is making plans to play just as long now

Agreed. It will be a dark day when the run is over for them.

Good news is Trollin and others will be jumping ship. So there is that.
