Gordon to IR

I trust Bill. I trust Bill. I trust Bill. I trust Bill.

I have to keep repeating this as I am not sure what the heck is going on!

Question: If a player is put on IR from one team but another team sees he is capable of playing and healthy enough can he play for them immediately?

It's been confirmed as bone bruises? I was afraid of a ligament or cartilage problem. I have no knowledge of what bone bruise rehab entails but doesn't this primarily involve pain management?

The IR and possible waiving is very strange..
We could wait 2-3 weeks for him to get healthy, we waited more for the jag Lacosse.
When healthy (like last year and the 1st game of this year) he was a good weapon for Brady

This sucks. Honestly, I am hopeful he just stays clean and catches on somewhere. I really thought he would be a guy the got cleaned up with the Pats and he played at a high level for 4-5 years here.

The end of his relatively underwhelming Patriots career.

He’s apparently started following the Packers on Twitter.

Here is information from Giardi:

He did not look right this year. Something was off. Watch some of this routes, if the ball was not coming to him, he barely sold it. Additionally, I also notices teams were not double teaming him as much as I thought he will command.
Not sure if it is just age slowing him down or he was dealing with something physical.
Well, according to a tweet in this thread, he had had his knee drained earlier this year. So clearly even before the injury in the NYG game something was going on with it.

Not a mistery. They can't cut him because he is not 100% healthy. So they IR him to use his spot to bring some guy for this upcoming game and Harry in the future. Gordon was not really good the whole year. This move will save more than 1M (probably more) ... if they can trade Bennett that could mean another trade. Thank you Gordon for everything. Stay clean and good luck.

So basically we're just using him a condom? When all done and used up, throw it (him) in the trash?

Why can’t the good vibes of an awesome win just last for a week?

Neither. Tyrek Hill verbally threatened the mother of his child saying they should both be “afraid” of him. Nobody cares.

Brown says he’s “investigating” a woman and shows his friends a picture of her AND her kids showing how “broke” she must be by telling an SI reporter a story she can’t prove. He gets released. Oh and the first accuser dropped her case. Rumor is she’ll re-file but it looks like she’s reaching at this point.

Yet he gets released.

Michael Bennett has a verbal altercation with his position coach. He’s still on the team.
Antonio Brown is a self centered idiot who is all about me and not about the team,no way would he have lasted here with his attitude anyway IMO - He thinks he is bigger than the team and the Steelers kept his antics under wraps and out of the media until it was too much to bear - Antonio Brown has talent worthy of the Hall Of Fame but the mental capacity of Forrest Gump

Interesting stuff from Garafolo. Why not just release him then instead of placing him on IR?

Question: If a player is put on IR from one team but another team sees he is capable of playing and healthy enough can he play for them immediately?

The player has to be given an injury settlement. Once that is done, then the player can play for another team. My bet is that the Pats wait until Saturday to give Gordon the settlement which would mean he couldn't play this weekend.

Looks like Bill identified the issue with the 2007 squad:

Too much harmony and not enough drama.

19-0 is happening boys!
