I thought it might be Gunner that gets cut and slips onto the PS but BB must like this kid alot.....

Why Richards?

JK ...

I have no problems with Richards on STs. He can do that job....we just found an elite guy is all.

I kind of feel Bad for Richards I must be getting soft.
Bet Dolphins or Lions sign him.

In a handshake deal similar to the Pats getting Hoyer from SF in the Garoppolo trade, the Falcons are getting Jordan Richards back in the Sanu trade.

Regards,
Chris

We've already screwed them enough.

Exactly. He played zero defensive snaps in this stint. People overreacted to his signing.

In case anybody's curious, Jordan Richards is an impressive guy. He won national scholar-athlete awards while earning a degree in public policy from Stanford, has been active as a community volunteer since long before he entered the NFL, and is planning on pursuing a graduate degree in education to become a teacher.

That doesn't make him a good NFL safety, of course. But given some of the ugly characters in this league, seeing so much personal vitriol against one of the real good guys is kind of a shame.

There was nothing wrong with JR as a STer.

JRs detractors need to re-evaluate the real source of their hate

Would be cool if he joins the coaching staff at some point.

Belichick has praised Richards football IQ numerous times. He was talked about being a coach like player on the field for Stanford. That smarts doesn’t always translate to ability.

Amen. I wish him only the very best in his future!

.

I celebrated when he was traded, but the man is losing his job this time and seemed to perform well on STs, so I do fee badly for him. Hopefully he can latch on somewhere else.

He's good on ST....I think he made a tackle there against the Jets...but I've never seen anyone look so bewildered on defense.
