Jeff Howe: Pats in market for a WR and TE

Sanu went to Rutgers so you know that he will be the WR.

Does Atlanta run a variation of the NE offense since Dimitroff is there? Because that would be another sign.

Offer more BB get it done how could we bungle the tight end positon so magnificently
They said no.

Contrary to popular belief, it does take two to execute a trade.

In other news, Conley had a monster day yesterday.

"These are the deals you are looking for...."

Given his usage this seems more like a "we want more in return" kind of no. But then again they have a good relationship with Licht so maybe they really have a plan for OJ.

Not sure how much faith I put in Breer. Here is more from the NESN Article

NFL Rumors: Patriots Asked Buccaneers About Tight End O.J. Howard

“The Patriots’ decision to bring Benjamin Watson back after Matt LaCosse went to IR only further illustrates the team’s problems at Rob Gronkowski’s old spot,” Breer wrote in his latest “Monday Morning Quarterback” column.

LaCosse hasn't been put on the IR. Watson was brought back after LaCosse was injured..

I see hooper as a decent receiver who isn’t much of a blocker and wouldn’t really upgrade the position much...

Sanders would be useful while Gordon Dorsett and Harry are out, but if/when all are healthy I don’t think he makes much difference at all.
I completely disagree with both of these views.

Sanders would clearly be our WR2, I think we get Sanu though

You really think Sanders wouldn't "make much difference at all"?

how?

Edelman
Gordon
Dorsett
Harry

place him wherever you want on that list and shift people down. I don’t see much difference.
to put him on the field you have to take someone off.

And you have to get rid of Meyers. I am not over valuing Meyers he is more of future years. With just possibly 1 move please get a TE

Think the 1 TE we’d have a solid gripe around not drafting is Moreau. Knox has also been solid but I’m cool with our selections in r3.
This ^

Could have had Moreau in the 4th if they didn't trade back and allow the Raiders to trade up in front of them, the kid has been a force blocking and has caught 90+% of his targets. He's made some circus catches in the end zone.

What did they get for that... a late round pick? They gave that pick away when they traded for Eric Saubert then cut him outright.

They got a little too tricky trading back. Now they have Cowart and he doesn't play.

They have Wynn and Cajuste potentially coming back so they have help at OT, Watson and hopefully Tomlinson are upgrades at the TE position.

They don't really need WR help but if they can get an impact player like Sanders for little then do it.

Sanu is a stiff...

C’mon teams! Somebody please make a good TE available :D

I’d hate to trade Bennett because he can definitely be an asset; especially down the stretch, but if we can move him to a team like ATL (who needs ALLLLL the defensive help they can afford) for Hooper count me in. He’d also be playing for Quinn again. Makes some sense.

Just crunched some numbahs.

2018
Players: Gronk, Allen
Per Game: 3 catches, 44yds, .2TDs

2019
Players: LaCosse, Izzo, Watson, Tomlinson
Per Game: 2 catches, 27yds, .14TDs

This is pathetic. The current status is unacceptable. We need a TE- badly.

It certainly seems to be a place primed for an upgrade, but there are a lot of ways to flay a feline. So long as blocking improves, they don't need more receiving production from TEs this year.

I just want better talent at TE...catching or blocking. Dwayne Allen please get healthy.
