It's kind of ironic that the Post is using a positive play for the Jets offense (a RTP penalty on Shelton) as the image for a negative Jets story.

As far as the penalty, maybe you can say Shelton hit Darnold high. Maybe it was because he landed on him. In a different game, maybe it gets called the same way, maybe it doesn't. That's today's NFL. What you can be sure of is that no one will remember this penalty and continue to say that the officials favor the Patriots.

Down? Na.

Who allows men running around in tights to ruin their day?

I'm just looking forward to seeing NY/NJ pile on Sam. Kid deserves an onslaught of criticism.

Want to see of he can take it. Or whether he's gotta be kicked to the curb.
You don't get out of your embarrassing prediction of Darnold's greatness and franchise quarterback status by deflecting to how Darnold should be piled on by everyone now. It's you 79, its you that needs to be piled on.

Pile away buddy. Whatcha got?

You guys should enjoy this...

That was a BS call, he wasn't hit high, and he didn't really land on him, and it wasn't a late hit.

Was about to post the same thing...that RTP call was complete, total bullshyte. What a horrible, HORRIBLE officiating crew that was.

I think they said he launched himself (quite a prospect when you're Danny Shelton-sized!) But that's for another thread.

Truth is, even ticky-tack let's-even-it-up-for-the-neutral-TV-viewer reffing (as seen in the playoff game against the Chargers) couldn't disguise the fundamental suckitude of the J-E-T-E last night. Out-fought and out-thought.

To quote a famous soccer manager, the J-E-T-E scored zero points -- and they were lucky to get that.

That penalty was the fifth RTP call for the Jets this season, which leads the league. NE is right behind with ... *checks notes* ... uh, zero.

Don't worry. When a Patriots opponent gets called for the first RTP call for a hit on Brady, we'll hear "You can't touch Brady" "The Patriots get all the calls" "It's a joke how much the officials favor the Patriots" and so on.

That call was straight-up bogus. It seemed like they called it because Shelton is big and Darnold looked small getting pancaked by him on a perfectly legal hit, as Darnold still had the ball when the hit was initiated.

The Germans call it schadenfreude.
I thought that is delighting in another's misfortunes. Jetefan79 genuinely enjoys abuse, which is called masochism.

never heard them called toenails before. was it the right or left?
He actually needed two inserted after last night’s game.

He's glad to have them back for repeated stomping on autumn Sundays. He's learning to enjoy it, it's the Jete Way.
