Patriots trade for WR Mohamed Sanu, for a second-round pick

If Julio wasn't on the Falcons he would have 1000 plus yard seasons imo every year he's close every year and I'm sure Jones takes away hundreds of yards every year from him.

If Jones wasn't on the Falcons, Sanu would be invisible because he would be going up against the 1st and 2nd CBs. Right now he gets the number 2 or 3.

Corey Dillion is a potential hall of fame RB who was a beast. Sanu is a soft WR who benefits from Julio Jones drawing double and triple teams.

Yes I have. Hes fine.

I don't cherish draft picks like you. They are capital and not always meant to be earmarked for prospects.

They are the best team in football. They need a WR. Sanu was available. His cap # made him compatible. They are an even better team after this trade.

To be complaining about draft picks is ridiculous.

You don’t think they overpaid? They needed another wideout but how is he different from gordon at this point?

Sano is meh. 2nd rounder seems way too high.

Gordon must be hurt pretty bad or Harry isn't coming back. Desperate trade.

Or Belichick wants depth at the poistion for the last half of the season

Edelman
Gordon
Dorsett
Sanu
Harry
Meyers

And if Harry wasn't coming back he wouldn't be practicing right now. Also this allows them to be cautious with Gordon. Probably misses the next 2 games and then Pats have a bye, so that'll be 4 weeks to get him healthy

o-line talent isn't for sale... GOAT-12QB doesn't need an offensive line for more than 3 seconds if a receiver can be open in 3 seconds. WR easier to get so GOAT-5star general BB gets big receiver who gets separation to turn around and catch the ball 5yds at a time.

now they have their turn-around and catch the ball guy.

can negate the QB, the WR, the RB, etc. but you can't negate the GOAT-5Star General. this pats team reminds me of the 90 giants. beat-able without a profilic offense if you can be disciplined and play complete football and slug it out with them. BB 5star is just the best coach there is.

now trade bennett for ol help

I just don’t get the hype with sanu. We can get basically the same production from a kid like Meyers. Hope he doesn’t get snaps taken away.

How can you not be happy about this considering he’s clearly someone the Pats really want?

The Pats’ offense thrives on having quick twitch options. Slot receivers. They were ready to break the bank for Humphries, but the Patriots wannabes in Memphis got him. So, thanks to the lucky BREAK of Atlanta falling apart, an arguably better option is available, a guy, by the way, a third of a foot taller then Edelman. Can you say red zone threat?

Tom Brady is smiling over his avocados this morning, the Pats potentially just got much better, and some of you guys are fretting about a draft pick. Smh

Music to BBs ears

Best part about this trade is that it means the Antonio Brown whiners will have to face the fact that he really isn’t coming back here.
This is one of the most delusional comments I’ve seen on this board :D we know that won’t end

Sanu is a very good get. Can get open quickly and is reliable. His addition should also buy some space for Jules, Gordon and Watson.

Now, if Winn can be back soon and help fix the OL, we should be good on O. I'd like another TE, but that would be being greedy because of the cap and all.

Because Sanu knows the offense. He has done it in the NFL and proven himself.

Meyers has not and Harry either.

2nd rounder sounds high because most trades are for rentals with contract up at end of year. This would have been a 4th if contract was up and no one would be complaining.

Don't over-complicate things.

Just last week everyone was whining about the offense.

Now we get a solid piece to shore up that side of the ball that BB has been wanting since early '19.

Hopefully this shows TB12 that the front office is doing everything it can do to get him weapons.

It’s just a few weeks ago we were thinking Diggs for a second and now it’s Sanu for a second.
We also had visions of Hooper or OJ Howard. Who we thought we could pry with a second and it didn’t happen.
We talked about a first for Sanu and Hooper.
It’s kind of a let down for me.
Sorry but it is.
