According to Field Yates at ESPN, Sanu is one of only two players in 2018 with 50 or more catches and no drops.

second for Emmanuel Sanders, yes...for Sanu, no...but it's splitting hairs. Hopefully Sanu can step right in and contribute...

3rd highest catch rate in the NFL since playing in Atlanta behind Amendola & Michael Thomas (71.9%).

I have and hes fine.

I think the Patriots are better off giving those snaps to Myers and Harry. Sanu is a guy who doesn't fight for the ball and doesn't play very physical. He gets crushed by physical corners. Soft player.

I hope he can contribute. I am interested to see if someone gives up a second rounder for sanders now.

Bye bye Bennett????????

This to me is the biggest thing. A WR's #1 job is to catch the ball. He can run the 100yd dash in 10 seconds, he can be strong as a bull and can jump as high as a building, but if he can't catch the ball consistently it's all irrelevant. Jerry Rice was deceptively very fast and ran outstanding routes, but his top skill was his otherwordly hands. Not comparing Sanu or anyone else to the GOAT of WRs, but it seems like Sanu has excellent hands and pass-catching ability. Hugely important skill!

Meyers, harry, sanu seemed to bring the same stuff.

Picks are overrated as a way of acquiring players via the draft,

Pats got Corey Dillon for a 2nd. That worked out.

Big deal.

Please don't compare this trade to Corey Dillion.

Have you looked at his stats this year? Meh. You don’t give up a second rounder. He’s not worth a second rounder.
Yes I have. Hes fine.

I don't cherish draft picks like you. They are capital and not always meant to be earmarked for prospects.

They are the best team in football. They need a WR. Sanu was available. His cap # made him compatible. They are an even better team after this trade.

To be complaining about draft picks is ridiculous.

agreed with some of the last few posters

he's a big body, gets open quick, solid hands, solid route runner

he'll jump into this offense quickly.....we've seen veteran WR's who just couldn't get it here, he should be able to get on the same page as TB12 quickly......if you can't do that, you cant play here

on top of it he's a great character guy, he's very much the anti-AB in that regard

so from all of that he's a great fit.......all of the whining for what is essentially a 3rd round pick is laughable.......picks are pocket change, and we have deep pockets AND not a huge need to turn over talent most years

to top it off, we A) don't even know the full terms yet and B) can't really evaluate it until we see the results

from where i sit right now, a 7-0 team just upgraded a position of need with a guy that fits that need to a T.......

If Julio wasn't on the Falcons he would have 1000 plus yard seasons imo every year he's close every year and I'm sure Jones takes away hundreds of yards every year from him.

Wouldn't haVe given a 2nd rounder, but when the inevitable happens and one of either Edelman or Gordon get injured this is good depth.

What the hell? A 2nd rounder for Sanu? I mean I trust them but that seems very steep for a 30 year old receiver with one year left and never cracked the 1000 yds.

Anyway welcome!
It's a seller's market, lots of teams looking for a decent WR, few teams making them available.
