Official Post Game Thread- Pats shut out the Jets

Was hoping to see someone posted this. One of the best things I've seen post-game in a while. KVN is legitimately surprised and happy about that quote. Maybe you should put this up in the boogeyman thread too. There is some great synergy happening here. As he says, "it makes it real".
I thought High’s reaction when they told him about it on the air during his postgame interview was wonderful. He looked surprised, hesitated a moment, then said something about how it humbles you. Really not buying into the hype.

Darnold's comments would be nice on the back of a Boogeymen T-shirt.

On the other side of the coin, does anyone want to defend Michel after this one?

So someone using the name Barry McCockiner put out fake news and it was believed by some? There's really very little hope for humanity... :)

This entire season I’ve been disappointed with Michel. The run blocking obviously needs to be addressed when discussing rushing performance and it hasn’t been particularly good but more often than not I think Michel is hesitant and is not showing any power in his running.

How much of Sony’s abysmal stat line reflects his own game vs the blocking? I’m not sure.

But damn dropping that little dump off in the red zone was an ass kicker. He had perfect blocking ahead of him, in all likelihood it was a TD for the taking.

The o-line is a huge problem. Brady was under constant pressure and the Jets front 7 isn't that good. Wynn can't be back soon enough.

Honestly I'd rather see the Pats trade for a quality O-Liner than WR/TE.

Nobody is gonna trade you a quality O- Liner. Wynn will be back for the iggles game. They need to trade for a wideout or a tight end.

The Jets had ZERO sacks..the Pats just added two TE's with size and experience and have Wynn returning but a 33-0 win ON THE ROAD is a "huge problem!!!!" because of the O line?

Are you kidding?

Bill Belichick himself has chosen to allow Michel to have a roster spot. Many of the posters here will worship the ground he walks on until Bill decides otherwise

With what we had to work with it was a stellar performance.

Barry McCockiner reports that Benjamin Watson's 3 catches moves him up to a tie for second place in season reception totals among Patriot TEs.

Watson was quoted as saying: 'on the first target from Brady, I tried looking away from the pass and catching it using the side of my helmet. I then made a small adjustment to my catching technique and felt good'.

I hope we rest gordon until the iggles game. Let him heal up.

Tonight:
James White: 5 carries 0 yards
Brandon Bolden: 1 carry 2 yards

It’s the line.

.

??, Is it his numbers that need defending?

I'm just going to assume you're trolling on this one...

But, if you crack out the "But 3 TDs!" defense, I'll have to put you in the category of people who need to be institutionalized for their own safety.

You're digging for deep meaning when my comment/thinking on it was shallow as a puddle (when have you seen me troll?).
I'm out of the loop (don't read/watch sports media, some posts here is all there is) and didn't realize there was anger/disappointment with Sony. Not that it is or isn't deserved, I actually didn't know it existed on a significant level. I thought the conventional wisdom was the running game was lacking due to a bad OL, but I completely concede that is only what I 'thought' was the CW.

I figured you were just busting balls in response to the Michel discussion from last week, combined with his performance this week.

But, still, if you point to "3 TDs", we're gonna be talking Baker act (or the equivalent used by your state).

this line isn’t great, but quoting small sample sizes from a receiving back, and a special teams player, do not prove that Sony Michel is competent. That’s like me using the stats of Matthew Slater and Gunner Olszewski to discuss the quarterback play.

I'm going to give you this reply that should add a lot of clarity to the discussion. Sony just needs to take the advice of one of his fellow backs:
Elandon Roberts on playing fullback: “Me on the defensive side, fullbacks are just kind of in my way, so I’m going to go through you. And when I’m at fullback, I’m still going to go through you. However you want to have it.”

I hadn't seen that quote. I like it.
