Wasting away in Arians’ offense. I kind of feel bad for him.

Think he's a free agent next year so maybe in 2020 off season we can scoop him up unless something changes between now and the deadline.

I think this is a case of politics.

Ariens wants his own guys...which is not OJ.

Licht drafted OJ and considering he (Licht) just received a 5 year extension I don't see OJ coming avail unless Ariens throws a hissy fit.

they are more than likely holding firm on a second rounder.
And BB is offering Bennett on a platter.

Sanders is one of those quick twitch receivers who would be perfect here. Playing over the middle, on the outside, end around. He could some pressure off of edelman.

Sanu would be fine as well but I dont see him as the edelman type of receiver

Howard would be a nice pickup.

Hes under contract one more year (5th year option will be $9m so can't see that happening) and a better at run & pass blocking than Hooper but not as refined in the passing game.

A 2nd seems steep but he was a 1st rounder and certainly hasn't been a bust. Maybe a 3rd and Bennett gets it done. They need help on D and have the cap space to take him on.

I'd be shocked if BB offered them a second rounder for Howard. More likely a 3rd or 4th or some kind of pick swap.

People need to stop trying to trade for a players potential or where he was drafted but for what he has shown in the NFL so far. And Howard has been inconsistent at best.

We're already seeing the "Patriots TRIED to get this guy" media leaks. We had this all summer with New England TRIED to get Adam Humphries, they TRIED to get Cole Beasley, the TRIED to get Amendola back...part of the Pats attempt to say, "hey, we TRIED to get some worthwhile talent, but we came up JUST short, so we have to go with Maurice Harris, Dontrelle Inman, and the Ghost of Hart Lee Dykes at receiver...

I mean, seriously, how on God's green earth are they going to fit anyone other than a Keshawn Martin type under the cap? I'm all for getting Sanders - hope they do, heck, I'd give up a first because we know whomever they pick on Thursday night next April is a.) going to end up on IR for half the season, b.) miss the entire season, or c.) have minimal impact...N'Keal Harry, Isaih Wynn, Sony Michel (only one with ANY real impact on the team, and he's been subpar this season) Malcolm Brown, Dominique Easley...that's it - not a murderer's row of impactful first round talent.
That's why I say give up a first for Sanders and resign him for 2020. I'm guessing Sanders will get you at least his average over the last five season (including this season) - which breaks down to 5 catches/game for 64 yards - extrapolated out for 16 games at 80 catches for 1,024 yards.
Bill has enough of his third round picks that he could finagle his way back into the first round or grab another second round pick.
But we know it's not going to happen - not with Carolina in on him now supposedly...

"Give up a 1st for an aging wide receiver we can't even fit under the cap right now who's coming off an exploded Achilles" is some take

Your suggesting giving up a 1 for a 32 yr old wr. To me that’s crazy. If I called the broncos and offered them a 1 for a wr it would be for Sutton, not Sanders.

That’s why i want him here assuming he passes a physical for us. I believe his Achilles was his first major injury. We have seen players come back from it.

A first for Sanders is just uncivilized.

Looking forward to the rebuttals on this.

Keep your eye on WR Josh Reynolds of the Rams. They are retooling. Perhaps Bennett?

Can’t we just get someone off the Bills practice squad instead?

Wouldn’t hate that.
Taylor Gabriel from Chicago?
Chris Conley?
WASHINGTON from Pitt?
They need draft picks for next year

Not that we haven't been reminded:rolleyes: but your Chris Conley is having better year than Flash Gordon. Nick Caserio have nothing on you.

Josh is averaging more catches and yards per game. His catch % is higher too. Conley has played 1 more game.

And that's because Sanders is a Very Good WR that's the going rate he's been a Beast since he left Pittsburg.
