Jeff Howe: Pats in market for a WR and TE

The weather is getting colder, if we need a body to warm a spot on the bench, a injury prone AJ is a perfect fit to warm it.

We have cap problems...how can we even afford a trade, at this point???

We have a little over $3m avail. There are a number of players like Hooper who are affordable.

Trade Bennett for Amendola + pick for OJ Howard. Cut 1 of garbage TE's, bring Harry and Wynn off IR. #doitBB

Amendola would be perfect imo. He would help mask any Oline deficiencies by providing a quick target and he already knows the offense.

I don't get the Sanu type trades because although he's a decent target and possibly a good longterm asset he does nothing to help short term imo.

Is hunter henry available? I believe he’s a free agent. Another tight end i liked out of college.

not available ... just put up two td's against Pittsburgh last week ... no way the chargers are moving him

I don't think that's how it works. If he was available before the 2 TD's he's more likely to get traded (if Chargers are selllers). Might be that he just got a little more trade value.

Impending FA's on a team packing it in are almost by definition available (unless they're superstars).

How do you know? Everyone is available at the right price especially pending FAs on bad teams.

If the Pats pick up someone it will be someone nobody is thinking about. Like Kyle Van Noy in 2016. At the time, he was just some bum LB from the Lions. Who knew what he would become. It is often someone like that.

I was impressed with Bronco's Sutton, he's only on his 2nd year but boy what a beast.

available? What makes you think the Chargers think that they are a bad team ready to move pieces for future drafts? Their record? They sit just a few games out of first, with the division leader losing its qb for a month or so...

available at the right price... what are you going to give up for an often injured tight end? If you are san diego, you going to punt on that second round investment so soon? One that wont cost an arm and a leg to re-sign and has a high ceiling?

<looks around to make sure that this isn't a fantasy football thread>

Broncos will probably become a seller. Get rid of the expensive contracts (VonMiller, Sanders, Harris, etc..) and start building a core (Sutton).

Flacco probably stays for 1 more year to groom Drew Lock, QB.

Best bet is Sanders gets traded to a NFC team. Why trade to Patriots?

I watched the Bruins game last night, and only checked in on the Chiefs/Broncos a bit. So, for those of you who actually watched the game, I have this question:

Was Sanders getting any separation from the K.C. defenders?
Why in the world would you waste your time watching the Ruins?

So BB likes to shop at NFL Aldi? "Mama Cozzi" Hooper... :D
