I still hope a Trade for a WR in the works I think they are going to use the entire Three week window to evaluate N'Keal Harry. And it sure looks like Gordon is no go this week.
Just throw it to Meyers...he is always open and catches everything.

Yeah they need help big time, trade has to be made at this point.

Not as easy with limited cap space. They will need to get creative.

I am REALLY looking forward to this game. I believe it will be the first real test of our defense since the opening game.

The Jets have a quality QB, a top RB, 3 good WR's and a decent TE. The OL is still shaky but we aren't going to see better at the skill positions outside of KC and MAYBE Cleveland. So this will be a chance for the Defense to prove to those who are saying they haven't beaten a good offense yet. Nice to have challenges.

On the offensive side, they will face good talent as well. (It's nice to have high draft picks for decades at a time. ;) ) The Jets defense have playmakers at all 3 levels (Williams, Mosely, Adams as well as other fine players. Their main weakness on D is their CB's, but WR isn't likely to be a big strength for us, so it will be up to McDaniels to scheme our guys into good situations.

Also the Jets defense have had one of the higher percentages of blitzing in the league (over 40%), which isn't likely to change given our OL issues and WR lacks.

So when you add the fact that the Jets have played us very tough in NJ when they have had a lot less going for them, it would seem that we are going to get a very effort AND challenge from them on Monday. To say this is going to be their Superbowl, would be an understatement.

Any win we get there will be a very good one, and if the Defense continues to excel down there like it has in previous weeks, I expect it will be very tough for ANYONE to beat us, regardless of any offensive woes, perceived or otherwise.. So I see this as being a strong indicator for the rest of the season, while others might see it as "just another win against those sorry-assed Jets.

Knee and ankle?

Are we starting with the creeping doubt about a sam darnold Jets team now?

Good take ... it is always good to be tested ... we need more of it.

this guy probably doesn't have a clue however do we need Gordon until the bye?
You’re right; though it did look like an MCL sprain when the injury initially took place. The running game would be huge for us if he’s out. IBBWT.

Yeah they need help big time, trade has to be made at this point.

We have 3 of our top 4 WRs almost certainly back within the next 3 games.

Any WR we bring in will almost certainly take longer than that to even start to get up to speed.

A trade to try to fix the next 3 weeks would be silly.

Gang green gets cj Mosley back to bolster an already stingy run d that gives up 3.5 a carry...Pat's can't run the ball, Brady will be throwing to Doug Gabriel's and KeShawn Martin circa 2019...Jets double 11 all day and Brady has to throw to.....????? James White? An injured Dorsett? Not looking good; Can Pat's D hold them to under 10, cuz that's what it might take...that crowd is going to be INSANE, can't fall behind early

The Patriots are playing the Jets, not Seattle.

It is Gunner time! God help us.

If I were the Jets I would double/triple team Jules and rush 3. Everyone else plays man, one on one. Force Brady to throw to the back, Dorsett, or whatever rookie is out there.

Brandon Shell great nephew of HOF lineman Art Shell will be making his first ever start at LT for the Jets.
Starting LT Chris Herndon suffering from an ankle injury is not expected to play.
It should be interesting to see how the Patriots exploit him.

Jets tight end Eric Tomlinson catches on as big-time blocker

"It's definitely tough, but I love to block," Tomlinson said after a recent training camp practice. "I take passion in it. When the passes come, and there might not be many, you've got to make the most of those opportunities. But, blocking, I really like it."
