Serious question, looking towards usage/impact:

Sanu doesn't help with outside speed, and he's not a traditional Patriots slot. So how are you looking at Sanu to be a tipping point player? It is just the number of receivers, or do you have a specific approach in mind?

Interesting post. Point taken. Never considered Sanu as a WR speed option. Kind of thought of him as a an Anquan Boldin type with Red Zone prowess. Maybe a third down guy. Could free up JE more. Harry might be the better option and he's here.

Still he is a more realistic option than the thought of Diggs. The Vikes are tied for first in the NFC North. Diggs stays in MN.

Sanders? Elway will keep him as he has limited WR tools for Flacco IMO.

O.J. Howard? He'll cost at least a 2nd. I would pay that. I think you could do better convincing the Bucs to get Cameron Brate but his contract exceeds Howards? Howard has 13 catches and Brate only 12. Howard has a salary less than Brate. Two talented TEs who are not being even targeted. Brate has 14 targets......Izzo has 9!!!! for cryin out loud.

Eifert? Yes I would want him but he is glass.

Makes sense trades:

Bennett has made himself expendable but I would hate to lose him. He might be a gem down the stretch.

The Rams are in trade mode: They lost pass rush with Matthews going down. I would trade Bennett to the Rams for 24 year old WR Josh Reynolds and perhaps a later pick. He caught 29 and 5 TDs when Kupp wnet down. He is not seeing the field with Cooks, Watkins and Kupp and the inconsistant Goff.

Another Bennett posibility is back with the Eagles for Agholar. Makes sense for each Team.

Guy I really want is Rashard Higgins from the Browns for a lower pick. Cheap CAP number. Had 39 catches and 4 TDs in 2018. Wasn't a Dorsey guy so he sits and no one knows why? Callaway is getiing his snaps. OBJ , Landry and Callaway? Where does he fit? Might cost us a 5th. The Browns has decreased his value.

Thoughts?

Jeff Howe right again.

Just bring Brown back in. Give him a good long look and see if he can ball out.

Gronk will need someone to keep him from getting double teamed.

Really thought we were going to make a pitch for Rashard Higgins in FA now he's really unhappy with his role in Cleveland. As stated he wouldn't cost us much but he would have to understand that he would only see time if there is an injury. Luckily for him we have some banged up guys here at WR so he would have plenty of opportunities.

Some great posts with sensible options , but....I just hope they dont stay as is and add nobody. The offence needs a spark from somewhere be it an OL , a wide receiver as mentioned above eg Diggs/Higgins or Howard of the Bucs. As to who comes off IR I think Wynn will be a greater impact than Harry , who I think still needs to prove himself in games.
Let's hope they can find a way/trade to jump start the offence

I think Belichick sees that. It's obvious that we need more on offense.

Trade Bennett for Amendola + pick for OJ Howard. Cut 1 of garbage TE's, bring Harry and Wynn off IR. #doitBB
Great post. Amendola back here would be nifty.

Danny's being underwhelmingly underused in Detroit.

Higgins seems like another Dorsett. I watched Browns games last year.

I was hoping for a passing threat that defenses have to gameplan for like Edelman or White.

Pat's interested in old Manny Sanders.

You get what you pay you for.

Thank you for the answer.
It may be far from a correct answer, especially if they’re interested in someone like Sanders, who would seem to fit a “shiftier” role, but I do think that they could find a way to utilize the strengths of Sanu and get back to whipping some ass on that side of the ball.

I suppose that I’m just concerned about the lack of a true red zone target, along with missing some of the physicality due to the losses of Gronk, Devlin, etc.

You wouldn’t care for this signing, or are you still thinking about what might have been had they upped their offer when he was a RFA?

Julio Jones please!! We need big time players. Get it done, BB. Oh and resign that reprobate, AB.

Many Eagles teammates were glad he was gone and said they would NOT welcome him back.
So no,probably doesn't make sense.
