Q: why do these clowns still have a platform
A: Because of this thread.

The cliff is coming. The only questions are when it happens and how steep will it be. He looks like he lost a step of his already limited mobility and could slip and fall very fast.
Thank you, Max Kellerwimp!

shameful.

Since Pats trade Jimmy G, Pats go to 2 straight Super Bowls, win 1, and start 6-0

Since Pats drafted Jimmy G Pats have gone to 4 Super Bowls, won 3 (didn't matter whether he was on the Pats or somewhere else) Let the trend continue!

So... draft him again for another 4 with 3 wins! yeah *****, science!

Doesn't matter whether he is back up on the Pats, injurred somewhere else, starting somewhere else and playing well, Pats go to the Super Bowl basically every years since he was drafted. ( 4 out of 5)

Yeah

It may be sooner or it could be years from now, but it is coming.

It may be sudden or it could happen gradually, but it is coming.

Time waits for no man.

Obviously. And I don't even know if Brady will be here next year.

But right now he is clearly better than Jimmy G who is nothing more than an average QB.

I think the decline is primarily the result of not wanting to be injured early in the season, like he was last year after trying to catch a pass against the Titans. His arm looks good, he’s mobile and decently quick in the pocket. The one thing that I suspect no amount of pliability and avocado ice cream can address is the speed of recovery from injury. In an nfl seasosn, players get aches and pains all the time that never show up on injury reports (along with those that do). Brady simply can’t afford to start piling up those aches and pains early as they may never heal until the seasons is over at age 42. I suspect that he will look better, more willing to take hits, more willing to step up in the pocket against the rush, more willing to stand in instead of throwing it away early once the competition gets better and there are fewer weeks to accumulate the aches and pains.

Jimmy G (thru 5 games): Comp/Att: 102/146 Comp %-age:69.9% Passing yards: 1,163 Touchdowns: 7 Interceptions: 5 Rating: 95.2

Brady (thru 6 games): Comp/Att: 149/228 Comp %-age: 65.4% Passing yards: 1,743, Touchdowns: 10 Interceptions: 3 Rating: 97.5

Hmmmm.......(shrugs)

Do people talk about Jimmy G's propensity to throw interceptions? Asking as I've never really read any coverage about him. I also don't watch his games, so it may not be his fault. But I remember when he first went the 49ers and went 5-0 or something, he had an interception, if not 2, every game.

What's next, a Shakespearian sermonette? Dramatic much?

Dunno...I don't follow JG much...was excited about him last year before he was lost for the year. This year, the Niners are more of a rushing team...like Shanny Jr. wants them to be. I think we see JG airing it out more going forward as the Niners haven't settled on a #1 WR.

Patriots don't beat KC or the Chargers without Brady last season. Jimmy G had never started more than 6 games in a row before this season. Furthermore, do the Pats even make it to SB 52 with Jimmy instead of Brady? Would Jimmy G score 14 unanswered points in a comeback win over an elite defense? Would Jimmy go toe to toe with the Eagles in said SB 52? I have my doubts.

The Patriots were not wrong for trading him. And some may say they should've taken the supposed 1st rounder from Cleveland for him (I say "Supposed" because those were reports). Well the risk you run trading him there is that he becomes an elite QB that you would have to deal with on a somewhat regular basis. Trading him to SF means you only deal with him once every four years (Unless they meet in a SB).

If mediots like Hannible make a noise and no one listens, do they still make a noise????

Their jobs depend on how many times their idiocy is noticed and commented on, any publicity is good publicity.. kinda like Facebook or Twitter followers as some sort of measure of how well they are doing.. see Felger et al.

In other words, clickbait. The more outrageous something is, the more clicks it gets, and the more revenue generated from advertisers.

You are talking about Jimmy G right?

Brady has taken his team to the Super Bowl every year since Jimmy was traded. Jimmy hasn’t played in a playoff game.

Discussion over.

To be fair, he's only played in a few game...:p

Jimmy is a JAG.

But the NFL likes to build these guys up as the next great attraction.

Jimmy is not in the elite class of QBs.

He is 2nd level and guys like Foles are above him.

I hear he has averaged 1 INT per game now (that might just be with the Niners though. I don't remember a Pats INT)

He is like 13-2 though, so goes to re-enforce the fact that this is a team game. Jimmy is good but is more of a game manager than a lot of other QBs and I think that is fine.
