Call it football you ignorant american.
Your angst is misplaced, Fnord. Why would an American call soccer football when we call football "football" and soccer "soccer"? Hell, we INVENTED the word soccer to avoid any confusion. That's not ignorance, it's inventive practicality -- the AMERICAN way!

So, are we still finding a way to blame Bob Kraft for this, even after Curran’s report stating that it was all the NFL’s doing?

What did the NFL do?

What could they do?

AB has not been charge with a crime. The tweets look bad, but domestic problems are common and AB broke no laws that I am aware of.

American Football? And RoW futbol. Since we invented peanut butter and beer. Oh, not beer? Since we invented porn. Yes, porn? That’s ours, right? American porn. Red, white and blue porn. We’re the best.

Curran’s report from yesterday.

It talks about how they’re keeping AB out, how they released a statement warning all other teams to stay away, how they aren’t in any hurry to resolve their investigation, and how Bob Kraft was unfairly blamed.

It would seem that Brady and Belichick’s displeasure is aimed at the NFL, not at Bob Kraft, which is something that we’ve discussed here on the forum.

How was Kraft unfairly blamed? Is Bob Kraft's job to keep the Patriots competitive, or to contribute to the NFL's agenda? These two things are not the same.

The only reason the NFL is now able to keep Brown in limbo is because the Patriots decision to release him. I don't see how this changes the narrative at all. It's obvious the NFL doesn't want Brown to play. The team still could have kept him, at which point the NFL's power to keep him on ice would have been greatly be reduced by his rights via the NFLPA. Kraft did Goodell's bidding for him by releasing Brown, which he was under no obligation to do. Now that Brown isn't an official player, the NFL can have their way. The Patriots are a weakened team and out of cap space for 2019. The league is happy. Classic Bob. Brady should be furious with his own owner...who could have allowed Brown to go through his bargained-for rights which would consist of an investigation, likely suspension, and then return to the team.

Many players have faced this type of impending disciplinary action by the league. Owners should be fighting for their right to keep their player, based on previous precedents. I don't see how anyone doesn't recognized Kraft as a total buffoon here who didn't learn his lesson from 2015. Once again he caved to the pressure for "in the league's best interest" when 31 other owners are probably laughing their asses off about his gullibility. Great game yesterday by Tyreek Hill, by the way. Antonio Brown sure didn't have any problems while a member of the Steelers, despite acts of endangerment.

Then why didn't the league release a statement to the general public while they were at it, acknowledging that very thing?

This is utter garbage. I am no fan of Kraft but this is just such biased rubbish that it stuns me how anyone who follows this team can be so myopic about this issue.

Cool take, bro. You got me. What a rebuttal.

They did. They released a statement when the Pats released him, basically warning other teams.

I’m saying that I don’t believe that Brady voicing his displeasure is anywhere close to being directed at Kraft, but rather the NFL.

So, in other words, the league office is being the bad guy so that the individual owner can go see not me. Like they normally do.

I think that it’s possible that they knew that Brown wasn’t going to be allowed to play, and they already know what a crock the “independent investigation” would be, so they played their only hand, which was to try and fight the contract. I’m not sure what Kraft could’ve done, since Goodell and the league are crooks who are only concerned with the PR aspect of it. The last time he tried to stand up to Goodell he got *****slapped.

The bottom line is that there’s no way that Brown was going to be allowed to continue playing. Not after the last round of articles and negative media attention, along with Nike’s decision to drop him. It had grown to be too large. The league wasn’t going to sit by and allow him to play.
