When can N'Keal Harry practice?

Not at all. He said Harry is mentally he is already where he is supposed to be 6 games into his rookie season. But physically he missed a lot of time and will need to show that he can catch up on that and be competitive.

I don't see any jabs at all. BB and McD are just saying it as it is.

That’s what I figured, thanks for clarifying.

No surprises there. He will have a big impact down the line..

Still I found the suggestions of posters very entertaining where they argued we don't know how much Harry would contribute or Brady look his way due to "trust" but then in the same sentence they lust for a FA WR who has even less experience with Brady, would cost an additional draft pick and hit the salary cap.

You'd think that BB called him a girl or something..

Man what BB and McDaniels said...I agree with Zo in that.... It feels like little jabs. He needs to be better..first round pick..flashes.

Just doesn't help my confidence after reading these today

You are reading waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too much into it. This is ordinary non-committal coach speak.

I agree.

However, for me, Develin's health IS the issue. If Develin isn't coming back, then we should definitely find out what we have in Harry.

Everything Reiss has written indicates that Devlin is done for the year. The fact that he is being lumped in with Andrews as a player-coach who can’t help them on the field but is helping them in practice and on the sideline solidifies that.

For arguments sake, however, let’s say that Develin could potentially come back this year. Losing him is huge for both the running game and special teams. Having said that, if I were making the decisions I am activating Wynn and Harry, assuming that they are both healthy enough to play full-time rest of the year.

As valuable as Develin is, they should be able to find someone who can give them 80+ percent of what he did in the running game, either one of the veteran free agent FBs or through a low-cost trade.

On the other hand, unless they make a blockbuster trade for a WR, there’s nobody available at WR who can come close to giving what Harry potentially can. People are definitely forgetting how good he was in college. Yes, that was often because of his size and physicality but the reality is he also is too big and strong for the vast majority of NFL DBs as well. At some point they are going to need someone who can out-jump or overpower a DB in a critical situation on third down or in the red zone, even when covered. Unfortunately Gordon has not been able to do that with any consistency, for whatever reason.

I probably did but just how I kinda read it and my initial reactions

Honestly though if they were little Jabs saying hey..we need you...you need to go now and we just can't wait anymore given this WR situation... I wouldn't mind it

Lol, sounds like we're getting zero contribution from another high pick...

Said it a million times, it is INCREDIBLE how this team is so dominant with how little they get from high picks

You expect us to get to the AFCCG with Edelman, Myers, and Gunner as our WR's, and with our blocking TE being the worst in the league, and with no FB? with Newhouse as our starting LT? Really?

That was yesterday's team.

To be honest is that any worse than the 2013 Patriots on offense?

And the 2013 Patriots didn't have the 2019 Patriots defense.

Are Meyers and Gunner worse than the ghost of Austin Collie and Aaron Dobson playing on a broken foot?

I don't even think it's that complicated, Belichick's literally just saying "we need to make sure he's not injured anymore before he plays"

I really dont get that out of the quotes from Bill.

If Develin is 100% healthy...I think I like the idea of trading for a WR and activating Wynn and Develin.

I love Harry, but how much would he contribute this year?

Either way....we need Wynn back the most.

How important was Malcolm Mitchell in SB 51?

.

To answer your question, next week.

And I will be very happy when he returns. We sure as hell can use a YAC and contested catch monster.

How many times in the last 2 seasons did Brady throw it up on the outside to Dorsett and Hogan and they just couldn't make the catch?

WR screen should be effective as well.

Hogan? Ok. But I have no idea what you are talking about re: Dorsett in your post. The guy had a 29 catch perfect streak going until 2 weeks ago. That's insane.

Can only bring back like two guys, right? One has to be Wynn. Andrews for sure is done, right?

I haven't thought that far ahead.

My belief is these things tend to resolve themselves.

We have no idea what Develin's situation is.

It's been reported as a neck injury which, for a battering ram, is not a good thing at all.

It looks like they are bringing back Harry plus Wynn/Develin. My guess (hope) is that Wynn comes back and Develin remains on IR. We can't have Marshall Newhouse as our LT for the rest of the year.

Andrews isn’t eligible to be one of the DTR players because he was not placed on the initial 53 man roster at cut downs; he was IR’d simultaneously. Contrast to Harry who made the initial 53 man roster and was IR’d a day later.

the Pats have whiffed (especially recently) their fair share of times, but their 20 year run of dominance has been built around guys who were drafted early. Seymour, Ty Warren, Wilfork, Light, Solder, Hightower, Chandler Jones, Gronk, Chung, Mankins, Vollmer, Branch, Mayo, Collins, D.McCourty are all key parts of the 20 year run. Then you have a number of key contributors to Super Bowls who came from early parts of the draft, Michel, Vereen, E. Wilson, M.Brown, D.Graham. And Garoppolo was a good pick who paid off in a trade.

Not many other teams have gotten that much production from their early picks over two decades. Even more impressive given the low picks the Pats usually have

Plenty of misses but there’s tons of success and the Pats wouldn’t have a 20 year period of dominance without getting so many good players early.

My draft picks this year: 1st RT, 2nd C, 3rd G, 4th LT, 5th RT, 6th G, 7th LT
