Bills' Schedule is scary pathetic

that stretch is looking less and less tough after watching Dallas, Philly and Baltimore these last few weeks especially if the defense plays at even 70% of what the have so far and I just don't believe the Mahomes QB'd Chiefs or the Bill O'Brien coached Texans can beat a Brady/Belichick Pats team until I see it
my concern is if the Bills are for real they could right there with us until week 16. Very unlikley but it would suck to have to sweat the division even with our own record being dominant. In 2010 both us and the Jets were 9-2 with them having the head to head win right before we beat them 45-3. I remember hating that year until that point because the Jets kept winning until that game.

And of course that year's ending sucked royally as well

I doubt that Belichick is losing sleep at night wondering how he is going to beat the Bills for the AFC East title.

The bills schedule largely reflects our own...

(For those who don’t know the schedule rotation makeup)
And for those who don’t, the Bills, like NE, play the NFCE, AFCN, AFCE, and the AFCS and AFCW teams that finished in the same divisional position as they did. In other words, the Bills have 12 of the same opponents NE does (the 4 differences are the AFCS and AFCW teams and of course each other in the AFCE).

To be even more clear

12 in common
NE opponents: BUF, BUF, KC, HOU
BUF opponents: NE, NE, DEN, TEN

They play the exact same schedule we do except for two games where we play Chiefs and Texans and Bills play whoever finished the same place in those divisions as Bills did.

However, those two games are more than offset by the fact that the Bills have to play the Patriots twice, but the Patriots DON’T have to play the Patriots twice, and instead play the Bills twice.

You are assuming the Bills are actually much better than their opponents. They can easily lose about 4 games on their current schedule.
By the time the dust settles, if the Patriots are 12-4 or better we should have the division and at least the no. 2 seed. That means, we need to go at least 6-4 down the stretch against a group of sub .500 opponents on average. I like our odds.

With the Chiefs looking vulnerable, I have to wonder -- as insane as it sounds -- if the Bills are our strongest competitor in the AFC. Maybe the Texans or Ravens are more of a threat; however, the Bills seem like they have a better chance than those teams because of their defense.

1) We could check the Vegas odds. I would think that we are favored to go at least 12-4 and to get a bye.

2) I would note that BUF has a weaker schedule remaining than we do. Of course, we can beat them and own the head-to-head tiebreaker. As far as tough game, we play KC and HOU. BUF plays us.

First time I’ve been looking forward to an afc east rematch in years. Usually have to go outside the division to the previous year division winners for a good game. Funny thing that most only remember the division opponents rather than they play a good portion of the best teams from the year before outside the division.

Think that is highly overrated and they would make other divisions their chew toys as well. Don’t care which one it is.

It fits well with their scary pathetic QB situation...

Never underestimate the Bills' ability to start off strong and finish 6-10.

That QB is terrible, and the defense is playing over it's head. They damn near lost to the Jets, after all. I predict this thread will be pretty funny after Thanksgiving.

National pundits who report on sports disinformation might also say that the Pat's schedule is "scary pathetic"...

With that being said, not sure I have all that much confidence in Sean McDermott and his crew... the war of attrition, aka the NFL season, has a way with catching up with every team..

It would be kinda funny if the Bills and Pats both went 15-1.

Hopefully the Pats would win the Strength of Victory tie-breaker(KC/Hou vs. Den/Ten). Seems likely.

Then the 15-1 Bills could have a road playoff game against say the 10-6 Ravens :D

My vehicle inspection sticker matches the color of my cousins car.

I was going through this same thought process yesterday looking at their schedule and came to a similar conclusion, but then remembered we're talking about the Buffalo Bills and it's pretty silly to think they are capable of beating most of these teams just because they've happened to somehow win a few others. They should have lost to the Jets, of all teams, in the first week but were able to take advantage of the Jets having another typical epic meltdown to just barely squeak out a win (if memory serves). That's not a team we should be concerned about.

Other than H2H, they have the same schedule as us except we get KC and Houston and they get Tennessee and Denver. So if Buffalo’s schedule is “scary pathetic” then you can’t really say NE’s is terribly difficult either.
