He’s never going on the exempt list. That’s just the nfl talking. For what exactly is he going in the exempt lost for?

He would be going on the Commissioner's Exempt List in order to allow the league to finish completing it's investigation. I think you might want to acquaint yourself with what the exempt list is used for.

I won’t be surprised if the investigation takes just over another month. That will get us to week 11. Then he’ll be suspended for 6 games if anyone signs him, wiping out the rest of the regular season.

Or they might drag the investigation out one more month so the suspension would wipe out the playoffs as well.

I’m convinced the NFL does not want him playing this season but doesn’t particularly care about preventing him from playing next season.

It’s a combination of not wanting bad MeToo-ish PR plus wanting to punish him for forcing OAK to release him after he decided he didn’t want to play for them after signing a contract.

I think the point he may be trying to make is that no one has ever been placed on the EL simply for civil allegations with no formal criminal charges or investigations. This would be a slippery slope moving forward if they were to go down this path, and certainly something that the nflpa would use in the cba negotiations.

I keep on hearing about me too, but the thing most of those cases had in common was once an allegation surfaced, there was an onslaught of other women coming forward with similar allegations.

That has not been the case here. There is the trainers, serious charges of rape and assault. Then the SI story came out that included a painter with an allegation of impropriety at the very least. However, this was not a woman that came out, but part of a story over many incidents with AB, mainly of the payment dispute variety.

AB is known for being a womanizer. How come more women haven't come out with accusations. This doesn't seem to be a typical me too scenario, but rather a classic he/she said one, but I get your point.

This requires the complete delusion that girls and women voluntarily enter into prostitution which is pure fantasy. Oh sure, there's a rare exception or two, but the vast majority of research has put it beyond a doubt that prostitution is little more than enslavement.

What Orchid Bob did, went against everything Myra Kraft ever stood for.

There is no way Antonio Brown would be on the Patriots if Myra Kraft we’re still alive.

What investigation which one? This is all flimsy at best.

He won't go on the exempt list. If they do anything, they will simply suspend him. The exempt list is for someone being investigated for a crime to give the nfl time to figure out if he did it or not.

Assuming innocence till the guilt is proven is the bedrock of the justice system. Kraft is guilty of breaking the law. Brown is innocent since the police said there’s no case to pursue. What Brown is “accused” of is irrelevant if the police say there is no case. Anyone can be “accused” of anything.
You are making things up and should really stop. Kraft has been accused of prostitution, not found guilty. AB hasn't been criminally accused of anything and has not been investigated in Florida where the claimed rape happened.

Make no mistake, Kraft runs the show. If it was all up to BB, Jimmy G would be the starting QB right now.
This is the kind of stupid made up stuff that pisses me off. All of these stories are made up dreams of sports writers trying to get clicks, and gullible fans who believe those writers who are found to have lied to us over and over again.
The Patriots don't air their dirty laundry in public. Writers have to guess and simply make things up based upon their hunches, and looks Brady gave, and brief answers in press conferences. We simply don't know. Claiming these rumors as truth is plain stupidity.

Although the point is largely moot as the exempt list is only for active players let's not lose sight of the fact that Elliott was suspended without criminal charges being filed. His suspension was in no small part based on a "pattern of behavior" as stated in his suspension letter. Certainly taken in total AB has evinced a pattern of behavior that does not reflect well on him or the league.

None of that changes in light of his being unsigned ATM the league doesn't need to do a damn thing in terms of expediting the investigation which in itself is inherently unfair to anyone, even a tool like AB.

While I think you're right in general and especially about the infamous Jimmy G rumor, Gronk once came out and confirmed the rumor that the Pats almost traded him.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.

I think a lot of the Gronk rumors came from the Gronk camp and were fed directly to certain reporters. Of course I also think a lot of the Gronk rumors didn't and were just made up, so you have to pick and choose.

AB should get a 2nd chance with this franchise.

He'd be on the EL right now if he was under contract to a team. The NFL memo about Brown's status didn't explicitly say that, but the implied threat in the memo wasn't particularly subtle. (Note that he can't be put on the EL or suspended or anything when he's not under contract because he's not an NFL employee.)

Then he would be the first to be placed on EL over civil allegations. Many experts have said the NFL would not do this based on precedent.

AB is precisely the kind of tool that makes precedents happen. Again, they could simply go with a 'pattern of behaviour' to justify it. His behaviour at his deposition further cements the appearance that his habit of making poor judgements remains unchecked.

Yeah, good luck with that. He flamed Kraft on his way out of town as a final act "rational behavior" re the team.

A second chance with the team is not happening.

If you watch a SF game, you will quickly realize the JG is not TB12. Not even close.

If he had he’d be playing on NE right now, would be $4.5mil richer just from NE right now, wouldn’t have lost endorsements which took more millions out of his pocket, etc.

So yeah - paying the $1.6mil would have been an extremely wise business decision.

All I know is that of all the AB fallout that has occurred QM changing his avatar has got to be the most painful.

Well, give Bob Kraft a call and let him know how you feel about the situation. Maybe you could tug on his "good nature" and see what he says.
