Someone has a very generous tape measure and weight scale. o_O

Always keep two separate measuring tapes, one for things you want to measure accurately and the other for your ****.

overrated WR player.... I'd prefer keeping Demarious and trade Gunner.

BRB, adding 'zipster9' to my list of people who don't appreciate the importance of STs.

Did a quick search for Vince Wilfork. Just as I remember, every site had him listed as 6-2, 325. Do you think he was anything close to 325 near the end of his career?

Is his sole job returning punts? Does he do anything else? Other ST, WR reps? Anything? Is he just on the roster to spell Edelman from returning punts? I only ask because roster space is finite and we need WRs. Can Gunner come in and catch some screens? Seems to play well in space? Are the Pats grooming him to be the next Edelman/Amendola or the next Slater?

Just curious what everyone thinks.

Thanks
he is going to start catching some balls I think

I think Gunner is a Football Player. So the injuries to the skill positions stink, however there is a silver lining. Brady is forced top play with the rookies. Jacobi and Gunner had a combined 6 catches on 7 targets, very good. If that continues perhaps they can be trusted by Brady, and the complaints about the rookies will stop.

My opinion of Myers and gunner went up from watching the second half of the giants game.

while they were clearly limited in routes they could run, they did a decent job.

no doubt if they keep improving, they will have a role in our offense by year end.

A copy/paste job but…

Pre-draft measurables:

Danny Amendola
5’10” 183
4.58 Forty
13 Bench
31.5” Vert
4.25 Shuttle
6.81 Cone

Gunner Olszewski
5’10” 178
4.56 Forty
14 Bench
36.0” Vert
4.37 Shuttle
6.88 Cone

I don't know what everyone else has been watching, but in the very last preseason game I saw a kid who showed moxie in the kick return game, showed the ability to get open in the slot, showed good coverage at corner, and good range at safety... that's hard. That's hard for a vet, for a rookie it was very impressive. That’s the kind of impressive it takes for a rookie to make the Patriots, drafted or otherwise.

He can't be careless on returns. Otherwise I've seen a lot of what I've saw in many of the great slot receivers that came down the pike. Troy Brown was the nickel corner on a Super Bowl winning defense and played extraordinarily well, Edelman has played corner in spots, that's the kind of versatility prized in roster manipulation.

Keep up the good work kid, haters gonna hate.

Still premature but I think Gunner has that x factor, that will make his hard work prevail over his lack of sublime natural talent. His ST play is already solid and will certainly improve. Football teams take chances on the draft, take chances on FA. BB is taking a chance here with a bottom of the roster player who won't see the ball much, is taking a roster spot, but you have to see what you have in that player.

Edelman is so fantastic I won't make this comparison even though the parameters are very similar but think about Cole Beasley. A lot of people wanted him here in the free agency. Amendola is no 1st rounder either.
