When can N'Keal Harry practice?

You're wrong. It isn't limited to WR or RB :). You can include LB, DL, there really is no limit to what positional IR player that can receive 'savior if they come back'.
Ha. Vincent Valentine was a great example of this.

This may be one of Brady's worst supporting casts at wide receiver, but it's one of his best on defense. The totality of this team is more primed for an AFC championship appearance than the 2018,2013, 2015 and 2011 Pats teams.

I dont get how the 2015 team gets so much disrespect. They were maybe the most complete team of the 10s until injuries started to pile up.

People are saying he's about 240 which is about 15 pounds heavier than he used to be. I wonder if that extra weight is slowing him down. Otherwise, I don't understand why he'd lose a step either. He spent the offseason working on his speed. Perhaps, it's a nagging injury.
If Harry is 15 pounds heavier than perhaps they should move him to TE/HB role similar to AH. He is known for his contested catches and rumbling YACs. He may have to lose those 15 pounds to become the next Larry Fitzgerald.

The benefit of adding Harry is that he has had a few practices under his belt and is familiar with the offense, bringing in another WR will create another learning curve for the player along with the "Brady Confidence" factor..

How many times has this team brought in a WR only to find he cannot grasp this offense??.. there is no quick fix here.

For #12 to be as effective as we know him to be, need also to bring back Wynn, add a FB and a TE to compliment what we have now.. he cannot stand up to the amount of pressure he is receiving, and there is enough tape available to show the vulnerabilities of the O line..

Patriots normally go with quick passing game when the O line struggles. Quick passing game requires the pass catchers to get open quickly. Harry is not known for his quickness on the outside. Most of his catches are contested on a slow developing pass plays. I think he would be a better fit in the slot going up the seems.

I just want to see him in a game. Haha

To answer your question, next week.

And I will be very happy when he returns. We sure as hell can use a YAC and contested catch monster.

How many times in the last 2 seasons did Brady throw it up on the outside to Dorsett and Hogan and they just couldn't make the catch?

WR screen should be effective as well.

You cannot count on Harry when he has not proven himself.

Every Patriots season there is a RB or WR waiting in the wings to save the day and every season the guy busts.

Hope is not a plan.

Aaron Dobson has been staying in football shape.

True, but the positions that have held the savior title the most are RB and WR.

We know Harry has 1rd grade talent talent.

We know Harry has some level of understanding as it relates to the offense

We know he has a familiarity with what TB12 expects

We know the NEP need some help at WR

Based on those 4 reasons, it makes zero sense not to activate him.

This is what so many here don’t comprehend. It’s not possible to field a whole team of proven commodities. The salary cap won’t allow it. The high probability of injuries doesn’t allow it.

Hope is not the plan; hard work and preparation is the plan. The work coaches and players put in every day to prepare for when that player becomes the “next man up”. No player can “prove” themselves without an opportunity to do so.

It natural for a fan base to overrate their team’s players. This fan base has gotten so rottenly spoiled that we underrate our players. Post after post and thread after thread that this player sucks or that player sucks. Marshall Newhouse is a bum. Do you know how hard it is to make the NFL? Do you know how hard it is to stay in the league 10 years. The QB “holds on to the ball too long”. Really! Do you what he was looking at? How did he win you 6 SB championships? Do you know how annoying you sound? The curse of the Internet age is that everyone’s a critic, but it’s a fallacy to think you sound smarter by being negative. Here’s a hint; you don’t.

There are no perfect players. There are no perfect teams. There are no seasons not touched by injury. There are no championships won without unproven players proving themselves along the way. If you’re a football fan who can’t enjoy the ride the Patriots are taking us on, you have no chance. Get off the ride and find another hobby where you don’t have to be frustrated by the imperfect and unproven.

Nobody is suggesting that the Pats field 5 WRs ready to make the transition to the Pro Bowl. Or a the team be perfect with perfect players.

Its typical for fans like your self to jump from one extreme to the other in an effort to make themselves seem intelligent.

Brady needs WR help out there. If that is not an obvious fact then BB was a fool to jump at the risky opportunity to land AB. Brady was delusional to be so excited to play with AB that he allowed him to live with him and his wife. Brady was quoted that he could not wait to get to work with AB. The difference between you and I is that you go off on left field scenarios like the dangers of the salary cap whereas I state the reality of what has already transpired and what is happening now.

I forewarned this board directly after the Buffalo game that the Pats have WR issues. If these rumors of a deal happening before the trade deadline are true. I will be proven correct and you will have egg on your face.

Unfortunately, you remind me of a cheap plastic version of look at me Ken just devoid of your very own weakly post game thread blathering the same party line. "6 Super Bowls!!", "Youre not a real fan", "Go to another team", "Nothing but 6 - 0 and blue sky."

From coming Monday onwards he can start practicing with the Team if they choose to activate him

cant they now practice guys without choosing to activate them? or maybe i'm mistaking the new IR with return rules

To be 100% clear, taking a single step on the practice field permanently eats up one of the “allowed to return” slots even if the player never returns to the 53-man roster.

(Which is another reason I think Develin is done for the year - probably too unclear that he’ll actually be able to return and they won’t want to risk burning a return slot for nothing.)

We’ll see. You might be right. When a receiver doesn’t get separation then it puts more pressure on QB to make the perfect throws and then there is trust factor..

there have been some similar players like him in the league who were very successful. We just have to put him in position to be successful like we often have done in the past.

If Develin is 100% healthy...I think I like the idea of trading for a WR and activating Wynn and Develin.

I love Harry, but how much would he contribute this year?

Either way....we need Wynn back the most.
