Good start to the season so far. 6-0 is 6-0 in the standings it does not matter how pretty it looks. The weak schedule has favored us where we can get some guys healthy for the stretch run.

Feels good to have locked up the division already

Defense and special teams grade out as an A+ for me however I’m not prepared to call them the second coming of the 85 Bears or 2000 Ravens just yet considering the absolute trash they’ve been facing.

Now with that said, I’m worried about this offense. I think our defense can hold the Chiefs to 24/27 but without defensive scores, I’m worried that this offense can’t put up more than 14/17 due to injuries racking up and a complete lack of weapons not named Edelman.

Season is still early and I think and hope they will figure it out though.

I honestly feel great. The Pats have the best defense in the NFL and an offense that should improve. Getting Wynn back will go a long way. They have their first bye week now (so to speak) and another one later with 1 more when they get the bye. That will hopefully allow them to get healthy.

Add in Wynn, Harry, Dorsett, Gordon, Burkhead and maybe trade for 1-2 offensive players and get a decent kicker in here and we will be good to go.

This doesn't need to be the best offense in the NFL to win. It only needs to be a bit better and make the kicks they're suppose to make.

I'll feel a lot better once we get Gronk, Trent Williams, Sanders, and AJ Green....:D

I feel fine. Not great*, but fine.

*I never feel great.

I feel fine.

See? When everyone in the GDT was humming, "It's the end of the world as we know it", they should have turned to you for advice.

Regards,
Chris

I feel very good about the team, but here’s what concerns me most:

The offense is incredibly predictable with their personnel. They use 1-2 TEs and only have 2 WRS when they’re running. They almost never run draws out of shotgun. They don’t have Develin, so they can’t do things like line him up in the I and then split him outside.

As of now, they don’t have the dominating blocking like 2018 to run it down teams throats even if they know it’s coming, and they while I think their pass catchers will be fine and are just going through a rough stretch, they don’t appear to have the potential to impose their will in the passing game either.

As much as Brown has been discussed, I think a lot of the same problems would exist with him there...I mean, they’d be better, but it doesn’t solve the predictability issue.

I think they really need a TE. They’re not bringing back Brown regardless of what everyone thinks. He’s gone. I don’t see them trading for a receiver like Diggs, Green, etc. because of their salaries and the high draft capital cost. I love the idea of bringing in a TE who can at least make you pay for selling out against the run or pass.

Let me add: James White is now the most valuable, indispensable player on offense besides Brady. His versatility is the only thing that makes teams really guess and get caught off guard.

I think they’ll figure it out on offense because that’s what they do.

It’s been cool to see Sony catch some passes.

Any win is a good win in the nfl.

let's just Get healthy and execute to our potential.

To me the Defense looks like some other team's, not name Patriots, defense. I mean blocked punts and all these sacks. As to the offense, it often resembles the Patriots offense, but is not quite there yet.

I'll take the 6-0 any day, but it has the feel of an Alabama schedule which opens with 4 lightweights and 2 middle weights, with the heavyweights down the line a bit.

Now with that said, I’m worried about this offense. I think our defense can hold the Chiefs to 24/27 but without defensive scores, I’m worried that this offense can’t put up more than 14/17 due to injuries racking up and a complete lack of weapons not named Edelman.

.

The Indy Colts held them to 1/2 that much last game in KC!

It’s not an impossibility for the Patriots Defense at all.

(By the way, why isn’t anyone worried about the KC offenses inabilities after that last home game? The last time the Pats scored less than 30 this season was on the road against Buffalo and their D is better than the Colts).

I really do believe that Pats fans all have amnesia. We go through this every year. ........

For some of these folks, it can’t be amnesia if they’ve never really watched it before.....

Who are we losing 4 games to?
I don't expect us to lose 4 games. I expect us to make major improvements.

I expect us to add Wynn. I expect us to add Harry or Develin. I expect us to secure 2-4 players from other teams, of which at least one is a contributor this year. I expect health (and therefore production) from at least one of Dorsett and Gordon.

Without ANY improvements, I believe that we could have competitive games with CLE, BALT, PHI, DAL, HOU, and KC. On paper, I should add BUF, but we always beat Buffalo.
