Definitely don’t pay $60 for the first year, because there are always discounts. I did the 76% off ($14.40) Fourth of July sale, and I don’t see myself renewing at full price next year.

I like reading training camp reports and Howe was pretty good, but there was nothing else.

I have it and I love it. They have beat writers for pretty much all professional and college teams. They have great Pats coverage but also for the rest of my teams: Cards baseball, Hawks basketball, Georgia Tech etc.
Just the opposite for me. I subscribe to the BSJ and Athletic, and the writing in the Athletic is much richer, more varied, and enjoyable.
With the Athletic, you get to pick the teams, college and pro, that you are following, and just get that news, if you want. But the stuff about other teams is pretty entertaining as well.
