I think we're playing to our opponents and I mean why not besides the Bills game we just so happen to win by double digits or more running those predictable plays when we play a threat or playoff game we are magically a different team (See 2018)
Last season we got destroyed by the Titans and the media and fans called Josh out for not "spreading the ball around" largely because Chris Hogan was seen on the sidelines complaining. Josh came out and had his best game, nearly every drive converted on third downs against a Vikings team that ranked 1st at that time in 3rd goal defense, he was running sweeps, screens, reverses, flea flickers, he used everything in the playbook, he had the ball go to every possible receiver on the field. Watch a 49ers game, you'll see what innovation and scheming players open looks like. Josh could use some pointers, or needs to be shamed into earning his money again...

He reminds of a young Maroney.

Dancing at the LOS.

I don't think that's fair. He doesn't tapdance, but he has a hard time getting something when nothing is available, which is the difference between an average running back and a good one (remember what Dion Lewis could do?). He does well when he gets a clean hole where the run was called, and he's been getting fewer clean holes this year because Mason isn't playing well, Newhouse sucks, and Gronk and Izzo may as well be in different universes im how well they block. But I don't think he's been as effective as Burkhead or even Bolden in many situations this year. I am happy to see them working him into space.

No screens on a wet field, no reverses, no scheming to get people open, no counter runs, no draw plays in wide sets, no bleeding a fullback out in the flat after a block in play action... nothing.

What game did you watch ? They tried several times to set up screens, there were counter runs, they had draw plays.. most of them got either blown up by the Giants or by our own OL.

Just what Mike Lomabardi and other football executives refer to as "beat em" plays. Boring, predictable, easy to defend.

Guess what happens when you have not a single practice but only walk throughs before a game on a Thursday ?

Our offensive coordinator is entirely average, he doesn't earn his money, he sends Tom out there and says "go beat them."

The trolls come out every time and call for the head of one of the best OC in the league because we dare to not be a top 5 offense after 6 games. Oh no we are 7th (or 11th without the defensive contributing) in scores.

What a bunch of garbage. The reality is that they did the best they could with the time they had and the players that were healthy. And that is the only thing you can ask for.

The idea that you think coaches in a team run by BB are doing anything but their best with what they have available is farcical. Especially ones that have been here for almost the entire tenure.

My actual words were "good" as I think the NEP are the only elite D in the NFL right now. BUF and CHI seem to be a notch below us. SF seems to have something good going....

With that said, I think if we are healthy and we get our problems sorted out this O can put up at least 3 offensive TDs vs BUF - which to your point should be enough.

The real question is vs a team like KC. If KC can put up 28 vs our D, can we score more than 28 vs their D? I think so but sometimes s**t happens.
Buffalo's defense is elite.

They played the Jets after the Titans last year (same margin of victory), but I get your overall point.

Yes, the "trolls" come out, last year the entire fanbase and media market came out for Josh after the Titans debacle... but now it's only the "trolls."

The coaching can do no wrong, like that time McD didn't relay to Tom the down and distance against the Dolphins last season so he laid down on the goal line and they lost points right before the half, only to then end the game with the coaches taking Devin McCourty off the field and inserting Gronk on defense so the Dolphins could win the game on a wing and a prayer... the coaches never warrant criticism even when they apologize to the players postgame in the locker room for obvious errors... good to know. Give me a break.

Also the Giants defense ranked 25th in points allowed and 31st is yards allowed entering the game, but they were absolutely fearsome yesterday.

If this place isn't for dissecting Pats games then let me know what I'm allowed to talk about as arbiter and board cop. I'm confused about the unwritten rules...

Against the Bills they rolled Brady to his right on nearly every pass play because he was a turnstile.

I guess thats one way to keep Newhouse from allowing pressures :D

Don’t know what’s the deal with Bennett but 11 snaps? I still think he has a lot left on the tank. Don’t know why he hasn’t been used more. I believe he’s a guy that can play in a 3-4 defense.

Saving it for the playoffs. They don't need to work ther more beat-up defenders too much now. Save what he's got in the tank for when it really matters.

Have the full snap counts been posted anywhere yet?

It was a tough night for Daniel Jones but I think the Giants will be winning another Lombardi with him in the not too distant future.

Maybe. They caught us at a bad time and they've faced crappy offenses like us but haven't been as dominant as us.

If you can find the Bennett and Hightower sack of McCoy you'll see Bennett clearly has a shoulder problem. He got up holding his arm tight to his side after that play as if he has a separation going on. I think he's hurt and it's affecting his PT.

Haven't seen him react like that but if that's the case it makes a lot of sense why his #s are down.

I know we aren't playing our best offensive ball but the Giants D played a lot better than their numbers.

The Bennett and Hightower sack is at the 8:25 mark, you can see Bennett holding his arm tight to his side when he gets up as if he has a shoulder problem, you'll have to go to Youtube to check it out.

If he’s playing through it then it can’t be that bad. Maybe not 100 percent but hopefully he will get healthy soon.

They have a good enough rotation to let him heal.
