Official Post Game Thread- Pats beat the Giants

Kraft has appeared to many to be publicly intoxicated on several occasions during his career.
Bob used to get hammered during games but ever since Lisa Guerrero interviewed him when he was hammered and had 4 empty cups in front of him (looked like gin n tonics) I think he's been careful about being hammered in public.

He's 78 now. He's slowed some.

In his first game as a Patriot in Foxboro, Nugent made all the extra points and missed a kick in swirling wind. It wasn't a performance for the ages, but it was decent enough to keep his job for a week or two. If he strings together a few more solid games, I hope they keep him for the rest of the season.

And if you had read my post in the first page of this thread you would have seen I said exactly this and that he had a good game given the circumstances.

That doesn't change the fact that he is pretty limited when it comes to 40y+ kicks even in perfect conditions. Which might lead to more 4th down attempts in a year where the offense so far has not necessarily impressed anyone.

In an ideal world Koo can prove that he can handle the elements and replace Nugent in a few weeks. Most likely this is a pipe dream.

Based on what? Playing time?

I think it is more the steady decrease in playing time than the playing time itself. Of course this could all be related to opponents and gameplan.

Izzo, Lacosse, Gunner, Meyers ... i REALLY HOPE they use all draft capital on O next year. They really need reinforcements.

TE: Izzo (7th), Lacosse (5th)
FB: Jakob (International)
WR: Gunner (UDFA), Meyers (UDFA)

Brady is only the GOAT not a magician ...

Ah, I quoted you since you were replying to a chicken little and didn't want to go find that post to quote.

That's my take. Seems like he's played ok .

We need a healthy Gordon and Dorsett.
Dorsett was having issues getting open prior to injury....not sure how effective he’s going to be. Feel like they need OL help first....maybe make trade somehow for Top OL and hope Wynn can make it back and stay healthy ...which is a big IF....then they really need 1-2 more top playmakers...be it tight end or WR.....

People say this game was closer than the score indicates... it wasn’t.
It was for a little while in first half when O kept stalling and turning ball over.....thankfully D took control and saved the day again!!

Let them rest and heal, they will need more offense over the next few weeks facing the Ravens, Chiefs, Cowboys, Philly.
Wonder if BB will make a trade soon.
I really wonder why he felt he couldn't make room for Watson. He seems a better player than any TE we have at the moment and I know he is a much better blocker. That is one thing that really bummed me out this week !
Watson must have some kind of continued injury....or has some condition that they expect to go downhill quick (like a hip or knee) otherwise makes little sense....Lacosse needs to be cut today

You realize that's how it ALWAYS is for running backs, right? Like, at the end of the year, IF you take out their breakaway runs, they look, you know, rather ordinary? or is it just that the only thing you see of other running backs are highlights, and so believe somehow that's their every wiggle and jiggle?
It’s the context of the run.

the game was over

What behavior is that? The bogus claims that he was soliciting a hand job? The amount of police impropriety that's been shown in that case is ridiculous..
Will you still call the claims bogus after the video is released?

Defense will have to carry us at least until the bye.

Wynn, Harry and a trade target could make this a competent offense again

But I'm starting to also believe that it MIGHT not matter when this defense is THAT good.

Right now it's the 2nd best DVOA defense ever after 6 games.

Take it from someone that has been on this board from its inception (and not the new instance that started in 2004).

If you understand that for most of these people with five digit post counts that it is all about *them* and not the team, all this pathetic behavior makes sense.

I agree that this nonsense makes the board unreadable, which is why the best football talk - about the Pats or not - is not found here anymore.
A little pompous at 4am, aren’t we?:p

If you’re looking for a board of “football purists”, you won’t find one. This is the age of Twitter and the horrible affects it’s had upon on all social media

GRONK???:D

Wow, it's almost like Antonio Brown played with Big Ben/Pittsburgh Steelers/Tomlin and not the New England Patriots/Brady/Belichick.

You mean the very same Big Ben/Pittsburgh Steelers/Tomlin who won the Super Bowl the VERY YEAR BEFORE HE ARRIVED???????

Look where you are going. You stepped right into that one.

Great thursday night win. Patriots have a lot of injuries and still are finding ways to blow out the competition.
