This is funny coming from one of the most irrational people on this board. @shmessy has forgotten more about football than you will ever know.

Thank you, kind sir!

The offense has until November to figure it out.

I got banned from nfl reddit because I called out patriot haters.

So he’s forgotten a lot of stuff about football? Thanks - it makes sense now.

No need to thank me. We've had our disagreements, but you've never "jumped the shark" like AJ, Deus, or NEM. Nothing but respect for you. You're up there with PFK and BCG in terms of must reads, imho..

Thanks, man. But NEM wasn’t so bad :D

And btw, I should never be mentioned in the same sentence with PFK. That guy SHOULD get a one on one meeting with Belichick (or Ernie Adams).

How many Rings?????

Honestly, when does someone inform you that football is a team game with the main objective of VICTORY????? Dan Fouts says hi.

.
Quit embarrassing yourself by acting as if the number of rings held by an All-Pro WR is relevant to whether they'd help the struggling offense.

Hypothetical:

Prime Joe Thomas, John Hannah, Tony Gonzalez and Barry Sanders magically become available tomorrow.

"shmessy": bUt HoW mAnY rInGs Do ThEy HaVe!!?!?!?!?

None of those guys left their team for a week and threatened to retire from the NFL because they didn’t like the helmets.

Cancer is bad.

The greatest coach of all time gave that "cancer" a $15m/year contract with $10m guaranteed anyway.

Clearly, you know better for the offense. Along with the Krafts.

Please let me know which of of those 4 was accused of raping one woman and sexually assaulting another.

Please let me know which of those 4 had a rape accusation, a sexual assault accusation and didn't bother to tell the team they were signing with.

Please let me know which one of those players stalked his 2nd accuser and then sent her an envelope with pictures of her kids.

The answer is NONE of them. Just like ICE_ICE, you're throwing out nonsensical garbage. You are the one who is embarrassing themselves with such crap.

BTW, if you'd been paying attention, the "How many rings" was in reference to the fact that ABs great numbers didn't translate into helping his team win it all. In fact, 3 out of the 4 years where AB was a primary receiver, they went 1 and done. DESPITE his gawdy numbers..

They gave him that contract because they didn't know about the rape allegation and sexual assault allegation. Kraft flat out said the contract would never have been offered had Brown told them the truth.

Brown flat out LIED by Omission to the Patriots to get that Contract because he had already been in settlement talks with the 1st woman.

Facts really aren't your friend there, chumly

You don't cut a much needed All-Pro player over mere accusations (and flimsy, suspiciously timed ones at that). I see you believe in the 'guilty until proven innocent' model, along with the 'cave to pressure from the slimeball media' model. Just like the Krafts.

Actually, you don't ditch any player under those circumstances if you are truly principled, although there's obvious exceptions when weighing the pros/cons with higher priced, high skill players.

31 other teams could get him for a song right now, no?

They know, however, it is going to be difficult to get him out of his near future halfway house to the stadiums.

Hearing crickets from the other 29 teams who haven’t yet washed their hands of him. Does he spell his last name Kaepernick?????

Kraft and the 31 other owners are on a team of their own.

GOD. You are f'in ignorant. You claim to have followed this team for how long? Ever since Kraft purchased the team, the Patriots have had a NO TOLERANCE policy for Rape, Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. That stems from the philanthropic work that Myra Kraft was known for.

The Patriots CUT 5th round pick Christian Peter just weeks after drafting him because of a rape accusation.

The Patriots CUT Swing Tackle Kenyatta Jones for throwing boiling water on his roommate.

The Patriot CUT Willie Andrews for assaulting his GF, being arrested with dope, and having an illegal weapon.

The Patriots CUT Danny Baugher because he had a drunken brawl with his father.

YES. You do cut a guy who flat out lied to you by not telling you of the accusations PRIOR to his signing the contract. Yes, you DO cut him when you tell him NOT to have contact with either of the women and he turns around and shows that he's either been stalking the one or having friends stalk her by sending pictures of the woman's family to her.

And no. WR wasn't a position of need at the time. Contrary to your ignorant post.
