This is funny coming from one of the most irrational people on this board. @shmessy has forgotten more about football than you will ever know.
Thank you, kind sir!

No need to thank me. We've had our disagreements, but you've never "jumped the shark" like AJ, Deus, or NEM. Nothing but respect for you. You're up there with PFK and BCG in terms of must reads, imho..
Quit embarrassing yourself by acting as if the number of rings held by an All-Pro WR is relevant to whether they'd help the struggling offense. How many Rings?????
Honestly, when does someone inform you that football is a team game with the main objective of VICTORY????? Dan Fouts says hi.

Hypothetical:
Prime Joe Thomas, John Hannah, Tony Gonzalez and Barry Sanders magically become available tomorrow.
"shmessy": bUt HoW mAnY rInGs Do ThEy HaVe!!?!?!?!?
The greatest coach of all time gave that "cancer" a $15m/year contract with $10m guaranteed anyway.None of those guys left their team for a week and threatened to retire from the NFL because they didn’t like the helmets.
Cancer is bad.

I feel the same way when I watch Michel fall down for no gain

Clearly, you know better for the offense. Along with the Krafts.
You don't cut a much needed All-Pro player over mere accusations (and flimsy, suspiciously timed ones at that). I see you believe in the 'guilty until proven innocent' model, along with the 'cave to pressure from the slimeball media' model. Just like the Krafts. Please let me know which of of those 4 was accused of raping one woman and sexually assaulting another.
Please let me know which of those 4 had a rape accusation, a sexual assault accusation and didn't bother to tell the team they were signing with.
Please let me know which one of those players stalked his 2nd accuser and then sent her an envelope with pictures of her kids.
The answer is NONE of them. Just like ICE_ICE, you're throwing out nonsensical garbage. You are the one who is embarrassing themselves with such crap.
BTW, if you'd been paying attention, the "How many rings" was in reference to the fact that ABs great numbers didn't translate into helping his team win it all. In fact, 3 out of the 4 years where AB was a primary receiver, they went 1 and done. DESPITE his gawdy numbers..

Actually, you don't ditch any player under those circumstances if you are truly principled, although there's obvious exceptions when weighing the pros/cons with higher priced, high skill players.
Kraft and the 31 other owners are on a team of their own.31 other teams could get him for a song right now, no?
They know, however, it is going to be difficult to get him out of his near future halfway house to the stadiums.
