No, I clicked on averages for the entire NFL on punt returns and he came up 20th. He's 11th in the AFC. I checked both.
Sure if you include any player with at least one punt return. The Football Database requires 1.25 returns per team game as a standard.

Yes, I didn't check for that. But only 4 had 1 return. That doesn't get him to 11th in the entire NFL.

But feel free to argue this all night.

Not that it’s been an issue at all, but due to the inclement weather tonight, I hope Gunner hangs onto the ball.

AFTER they left the Pats and got bigger contracts those players were not as good as they were with NE.

Why are you so angry? If instead of Michel and White we had Chris Thompson and Mark Ingram, I do not believe the impact would be materially different. You're free to disagree. My initial contention was that aside from Edelman, Brady doesn't have any elite weapons that opposing D Coordinators have to game plan for. They have to plan for the system and open receivers, backs, etc. But if Michel goes down tomorrow and Harris steps in, I do not believe you will see a material difference. If White goes down and Burkhead steps in, I do not believe you will see a material difference. Why does this have you so triggered? Chill.
Why does everyone forget that Gronkowski guy when they make that point.

An interesting point to consider is that while he's only had that "elite" WR only once with Moss (2.5yrs) over the years, he HAS had very good to great TE's. Between Graham (5yrs) , Watson (5yrs) and Gronk (9yrs), Brady has had only a few years with mediocre or poor TE's

When you think that Brady has been a master of carving up the middle over the years, maybe not having a predominant inside TE presence really IS more important to him than having a predominant WR

Gunner seemed to judge the punts a little better today in worse conditions. Plus he chipped in on offense. And he's quite a stylish dude.

Trying to find a screenshot of him post game with the trucker hat on and a big ass dip in. It was like seeing a character audition for Friday Night Lights.

Don't get the anti-Gunner faction here.

Coming out of tonight's game, The New England Patriots are 11th in team punt return average. Gunner has been our only returner.

Probably because this thread is about Gunner and not Gronk, Moss, or Watson.

We are still using Edelman for bubble screens but this young rookie seems to have a little more pep. We need to let the rookies loose.

Again, 5 of the 8 don't support your case. Why do you make asinine assumptions? Why do you spin to CYA and literally make things up?

The fact that you think I'm angry or triggered shows how ridiculous you are. Why don't you just admit to being wrong instead of lying and spinning and cya?

I could care less what you "believe". Your prognostications are worthless and sure as hell aren't based on fact. So why shouldn't people take you to task for your posts?

BTW, since you couldn't be bothered to watch the game. Since 2015, White is the leading RB in receptions, receiving yards and receiving TDs since 2015. But, yeah. He's just "average" and no team would game-plan for him.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

It is in your hands from here. I’m Italian. We call them Ravioli ;)

Over the years I've had a good amount of both and pierogi (done right) wins easily.

How is Oh-Scheft-Ski the pronunciation of this name lol?

Me neither and it's pissing me off.

Swirling wind last last night and he fielded them all cleanly. Even had a 10 yd return.

As the WR5 he was 2/3 for 39yds.

The fans who expect more will simply never be happy

Gunner was solid and should never be asked to play WR this season.

Made some pretty big catches last night. Happy for him.

That is because he plays with Brady in a system that utilizes him as such. You keep pointing to stats and I am using the naked eye test. I contend that if instead of White, we had Chris Thompson or Duke Johnson then they would have the numbers White has. Doesn’t mean I dislike White, I just don’t think he is anything special outside of being able to adapt to the Pats system well. Per advanced football metrics his best comparable is Bilal Powell...a real difference maker that Powell.

I paid closer attention to special teams and Gunner is indeed on the coverage team. Looks like on O if the Pats can get him in space he can generate some strong YAC.
