OT: Hahaha way OT I'm headed for a time out by the Mods

Cardinals are the Dodgers kryptonite. So far they’re up 3-0 on the Nationals in get 6th.
Dodgers feared them so much they let the Nats play them instead!

10th inning grand slam knocks out the Dodgers.

The Nats deserve to go to the NLCS...they've won nothing in their history

Nats got the feel - started vs the Brewers (actually started when they parted with Harper)
After that abysmal start to the year they’ve just kept scrapping and getting better and winning one game at a time. Definitely have the feel.

I knew they’d win it when Soto went yard to tie it up. Momentum. Big mo. Too much to be denied.

My Nats are going to take the Cardinals down...

Nats are playing some great baseball right now. Honestly didn’t expect the cards to get past ATL. To still be playing while the cubbies sit at home is a good season in my book.

Kershaw is the biggest choker in sports history.

Mods enjoy hearing stories about torturing other fan bases...although they forget how many years pre-BB/Brady that we were tortured, so I have a little less sympathy for them ;)

In the 80's and 90's would come to work on Sundays and all of the Giants/Jets/Miami fans would have on their putrid "Starter Puff Coats" and other regalia... all the while us Pats fans couldn't even find a Pats T-shirt... every year we would get the Sears "Wish Book" around Christmas and would search for NFL paraphernalia.. there was never any Pats gear to be found for sale, instead they featured; Chicago, Green Bay, Oakland, Dallas, Miami, NYJ or NYG etc. .. so we were all wandering in that desert for too long..

In 1985 there were the "Squish the Fish" T-Shirts that were made in someone's basement.. that was about it.

Then of course we were "blacked out" on home games for the most part, so I brought my walkman and stuck one earbud in to hear the game.. of course they all thought I was some sort of "degenerate gambler", nah just a fan who went through the bad times..

Then along came BB and #12, and it all changed.. now wear it proudly whenever I can...

I was in Dubai last week, wearing my Pats cap and a British guy called out and said "nice cap". Truly a global brand. That, and in stores that sell NFL stuff outside North America and Europe, you'll always find Pats gear.

The other most common in my experience? The Raiders...

Got 3 Steeler fans at work (pretty decent guys) and one person has his office filled with Steeler posters/memorabilia. Funny thing, I haven't seen him wearing his Steeler jerseys for a couple weeks. And he's keeping his discussions more aligned with business than veering off into football as he did earlier.

I try not to rib him about as he's a good guy and I don't believe in kicking people who are already down. :D

I’m right with you with the pats and cards as my respective teams. I actually think the cards would be accepted on this board right now since the Sox are sitting at home.
Show me a Red Sox fan rooting for the Cardinals and I’ll show you someone ignorant of Red Sox history.

Still upset over those WS losses in 46 and 67?

Those new Sox fans (since the 2000s) know nothing but success against the cards. And if STL gets matched up against the Yanks I think we know who the Sox are pulling for.

Yup, plus all that “Cardinal Way” nonsense (which apparently includes hacking other teams’ computers systems).
